    Abstract: A coil component includes a core having a winding core portion, a first flange portion disposed on a first end portion of the winding core portion, and a second flange portion disposed on a second end portion of the winding core portion; a wire winding on the winding core portion of the core; and a plate member disposed so as to bridge the first flange portion and the second flange portion. The coil component further includes an adhesive portion disposed between the first flange portion and the plate member and adhering the first flange portion to the plate member, and an adhesive portion disposed between the second flange portion and the plate member and adhering the second flange portion to the plate member. The adhesive portion contains a resin and magnetic powder.

    Abstract: A rotary encoder includes a shaft and an encoder mechanism that holds the shaft in a rotatably inserted state and detects a rotation direction and a rotation angle of the shaft. The encoder mechanism includes a substrate that rotatably holds the shaft, an insulator portion and a resistor portion provided on one surface of the substrate and alternately provided in the rotation direction of the shaft, a rotor attached to the shaft so as to be integrally rotatable with the shaft, and a slider that is attached to the rotor and alternately slidably contacts the insulator portion and the resistor portion by rotation of the shaft. The insulator portion includes a base material made of a resin, spherical silica, and a fluororesin filler.

    Abstract: A method for manufacturing a magnetic powder includes a step of producing a magnetic powder by spray-drying a spray liquid containing first magnetic particles, second magnetic particles, a thermosetting resin, and an organic solvent. A magnetic powder includes first magnetic particles and a thermosetting resin coating film on surfaces of the first magnetic particles. The first magnetic particles are soft magnetic metal particles. The resin coating film contains second magnetic particles. The second magnetic particles have a smaller average particle size than the first magnetic particles.

    Abstract: A coil component is capable of suppressing permeation of liquid or gas into a magnetic portion and increasing mechanical strength of the magnetic portion.     Abstract: A common mode choke coil as an electronic component includes a laminate. The laminate includes insulating layers stacked in a thickness direction and has a recess sinking in a stacking direction of the insulating layers. The laminate includes at least one coil conductor therein. The recess is filled with a magnetic resin material. The magnetic resin material is formed of a magnetic powder-containing resin that is a mixture of a soft magnetic metal powder and a thermosetting resin. The soft magnetic metal powder has an average particle size of 12 μm or less. The magnetic powder-containing resin contains 65 vol % or more and 85 vol % or less of the soft magnetic metal powder.
