    Abstract: An inductor includes a body that includes a coil and that contains a magnetic portion in which the coil is embedded, and a pair of outer electrodes that is disposed on a mounting surface of the body. The coil includes a winding portion formed by winding a conductive wire that has a coating layer and that has a pair of wide surfaces, and a pair of extended portions that extends from the winding portion. The pair of extended portions includes a twisted portion that is connected to the winding portion. The twisted portion is twisted about a virtual center line of an end portion of the winding portion, and a twisted part bends toward the mounting surface about an axis substantially perpendicular to the wide surfaces at the end portion. End portions of the pair of extended portions near the mounting surface are connected to the pair of outer electrodes.

    Abstract: An inductor includes a base body including a coil conductor and a core in which the coil conductor is embedded. The coil conductor includes a wound band-shaped conductive wire. The core contains soft magnetic particles and a resin. The base body is rectangular-parallelepiped-shaped and includes a pair of principal faces that are opposite to each other, a pair of end faces that are opposite to each other and adjacent to the principal faces, and a pair of side faces that are opposite to each other and adjacent to the principal faces. A base-body protection layer is on a surface of the base body. The coil conductor includes a wound section and extended sections extending from the wound section. The extended sections have surfaces exposed on the surface of the base body at respective exposed portions on each of which a metal layer that is an outer electrode is formed.

    Abstract: An inductor is provided so that reduction in DC superposition characteristics can be suppressed even when a filling rate of a magnetic powder is increased. The inductor includes a coil including a winding portion and a pair of extended portions extended from the winding portion, and a body having the coil embedded therein and containing a magnetic powder containing a first magnetic powder and a second magnetic powder, in which an average particle diameter of the first magnetic powder is larger than an average particle diameter of the second magnetic powder. In a cross section of the body including a winding axis of the winding portion and extending in a long side direction of the body, Voronoi partition is performed with a center of gravity of each magnetic powder as a generating point. When a standard deviation of an area of a Voronoi partition region with a magnetic powder having a particle diameter of equal to or more than 6 μm as a generating point is calculated, the standard deviation is equal to or less than 300.
