    Abstract: A planar light source includes a substrate, light sources, and a partitioning member. The partitioning member defines partitioned regions arranged in a first direction and in a second direction that intersects the first direction. At least one of the light sources is arranged in a corresponding one of the partitioned regions. The partitioning member includes a plurality of first wall parts defining a plurality of first ridges extending in the first direction, and a plurality of second wall parts defining a plurality of second ridges extending in the second direction. The first wall parts define at least one first cut on at least one of the first ridges. At least one of the partitioned regions is surrounded by the first ridges and the second ridges in a plan view and includes an opposing pair of the first wall parts and an opposing pair of the second wall parts.

    Abstract: A planar light source has a plurality of light sources, a substrate, and a partitioning member. The partitioning member includes a first member provided with first partitioned parts each having a first bottom part and first oblique parts surrounding the first bottom part that are arranged on the substrate in a matrix, and a second member provided with second partitioned parts each having a second bottom part and second oblique parts surrounding the second bottom part that are arranged on the substrate in a matrix. The first member further has first outer oblique parts overlapping the second oblique parts located along the outer edge of the second member on the first member side. The first bottom parts and the second bottom parts each have a light source disposition opening, and the light sources are individually disposed on the substrate exposed in the light source disposition openings.

    Abstract: A planar light source includes a mounting substrate, a plurality of light sources, a partition member, a frame body, a wavelength conversion member, and a light diffusion plate. The light sources are arranged two-dimensionally on the mounting substrate in a plan view. The partition member includes a wall portion surrounding each of the light sources except for outermost ones of the light sources in the plan view. The wall portions are located inward of the outermost ones of the light sources. The frame body has a bottom portion and a lateral wall surrounding the mounting substrate.     Abstract: A planar light source includes an irregular-shaped mounting substrate, light sources arranged along first and second directions in a plan view, and a light diffusion plate including a thick plate portion and a thin plate portion outward of outermost light sources in the plan view. In the first direction, a distance between an optical axis of one first distal-end light source of one array and an outer edge of the light diffusion plate is greater than a distance between that of another first distal-end light source of another array and the outer edge. In a plan view, the thin plate portion has a width along a straight line along the first direction from the optical axis of the one first distal-end light source toward the outer edge greater than a width along a straight line from the optical axis of the second distal-end light source toward the outer edge.
