    Abstract: A modified polyolefin resin may be capable of obtaining an intended adhesion strength regardless of a kind of a base resin thereof even when graft modification is carried out by using an α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid derivative having a cyclic structure. Such a modified polyolefin resin may be a modified product of a polyolefin resin and satisfying (A) and (B): (A): a modifying component includes an α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid derivative having a cyclic structure; and (B): a ring-opening degree expressed by formula (1) is 40 or more. Ring-opening degree=modification degree K×ring-opening rate R  (1): wherein, in formula (1), the modification degree K is a grafting weight (% by weight) of the α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid derivative, and the ring-opening rate R is a ring-opening rate (%) of the cyclic structure in the α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid derivative.

    Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide a modified polyolefin resin composition having a high polyethylene content and exhibiting a good balance between a low-temperature stability and an adhesion to a polyethylene substrate and a metal. The present invention provides a modified polyolefin resin that is a graft-modified product in which a component (A) that is a polyolefin resin having an ethylene structural unit content of 50% or more by mole is modified with a component (B) that is an α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid or an anhydride thereof and a component (C) that is a (meth)acrylate ester represented by the following general formula (I), and an extrapolated melting end temperature (Tem) of the modified polyolefin resin measured in accordance with JIS K7121-1987 using a differential scanning calorimeter at a temperature raising rate of 10° C./minute is 58° C. or lower.

The modified polyolefin resin may be a modified product of a polyolefin resin and satisfies conditions (A) to (C): condition (A)—a modifying component includes an α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid derivative having a cyclic structure; condition (B)—a ring-opening degree expressed by formula (1) is 40 or more; and condition (C)—the polyolefin resin includes an ethylene structural unit, ring-opening degree=modification degree K×ring-opening rate R  (1) wherein, in the formula (1), the modification degree K is a grafting weight (wt. %) of the α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid derivative, and the ring-opening rate R is a ring-opening rate (%) of the cyclic structure in the α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid derivative.

    Abstract: It is an object of the present invention to provide a chlorinated polyolefin resin having favorable adhesion to a polyolefin resin and high solubility in a composition containing an alcohol-based solvent. The present invention provides a chlorinated polyolefin resin that exhibits, in infrared spectroscopy spectrum measurement, a peak area ratio A/B×100 of 10% or higher, a peak area ratio C/B×100 of 30 to 80%, and a peak area ratio A/C×100 of 30% or higher (wherein “A” is the area of a peak resulting from hydroxyl groups, “B” is the area of a peak resulting from methylene groups, and “C” is the area of a peak resulting from carbonyl groups). The present invention also provides an ink composition for gravure printing or flexography that contains the chlorinated polyolefin resin, a printed material obtained using the above composition, and a printing method using the above composition.
