Abstract: The present invention relates to fluorescent, benzotriazole-containing dye compounds, which possess high processability, desirable optical characteristics and good photostability, while suppressing the formation of a precipitate, and to dye polymers comprising the same. The present invention further relates to a wavelength-converting encapsulant composition comprising said dye polymer and to a photovoltaic module, which comprises a layer comprising said wavelength-converting encapsulant. The polymer fluorescent benzotriazole-containing dye compound is represented by general formula (I): where the variables are defined in the specification.

Abstract: The present invention relates to fluorescent, benzotriazole-containing dye compounds, which possess a high workability, desirable optical properties, and a good light stability, while suppressing the formation of a precipitate. The invention further relates to a wavelength-converting encapsulant layer, which is formed using the wavelength-converting encapsulant composition comprising said fluorescent, benzotriazole dye compounds. The fluorescent, benzotriazole-containing dye compounds are represented by general formula (I). wherein the variables are defined in the specification.

Abstract: Provided are a encapsulant composition that is for solar cells and can reduce the time required for a lamination process and improve light stability and resistance to moisture and heat, and a solar cell encapsulant layer and a solar cell module, each produced with the composition, wherein the composition includes an ethylenic copolymer and an organic peroxide having a peroxyester structure represented by formula (1) or (2) wherein R1, R2, R3, and R4 each independently represent an optionally substituted alkyl group of 1 to 18 carbon atoms or an optionally substituted aryl group of 5 to 18 carbon atoms.

Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide a luminescent ethylene-based copolymer which causes no problem of the shift or bleeding-out of a fluorescent body, which has a high workability, desired optical properties and a good light stability and which is easily handled in a kneading step; and a encapsulant composition for a solar cell, using this copolymer. Another object of the invention is to provide a encapsulant layer, for a solar cell, which is formed using the photovoltaic encapsulant composition to cause no problem of the shift or bleeding-out of a fluorescent body in this layer and to have desired optical properties and a good light stability; and a photoelectromotive module having this layer. The copolymer is a luminescent ethylene-based copolymer including, as a monomer component, a fluorescent dye compound having an unsaturated bond.
