摘要: A multi beam track system and method is used for the retrieving of information stored in optical memories like optical disks. The information carrying beams reflected on the surface of such a optical disk results in spots on the surface of a detector array. Because these beams are very close to each other, the resulting spots tend to overlap so that cross talk conditions between neighboring channels occur. As result the S/N ratio becomes worse. According to the present invention a plurality of laser beams arranged in a row is used, where the laser beams are linear polarized and the polarization of neighboring beams differ by 90.o slashed., i.e. neighboring laser beams have perpendicular linear polarization. After reflection on the surface of the optical disk the row of reflected laser beams is separated into two rows by an separating means which is polarization dependent so that beams are separated in space according to the polarization. Such a separator can be a polarizing beamsplitter or a birefringent prism crystal. As a result two spacially separated rows of laser beams are achieved, which can be detected by two separate detectors. As result no overlap between neighboring spots occurs on the surface of the detectors, resulting in the elimination of crosstalk.

摘要: The invention concerns a high storage capacity ROM-RAM disk and a process for reading and writing to the ROM-RAM disk. T he aim of the invention is to devise a ROM-RAM disk and a process making it possible to read ROM and RAM simultaneously, to read the ROM area and at the same time write to the RAM area and to provide the largest possible volume of memory. The invention comprises two alternative designs. In a first design a ROM-RAM disk contains an area having both ROM and RAM memory structures as of a certain radius or diameter, establishing therein, at a constant rotational speed, a scanning/writing speed which ensures a reading/separation of the data stored in the ROM-RAM structures. In a second design, the available storage area is taken up entirely by a ROM-RAM storage area, where RAM memory structures have a reduced data rate in order to form, a length of memory structures necessary for separating the data stored in the ROM-RAM storage area.

摘要: A filter cleaning apparatus 1 is a device designed exclusively for cleaning a cartridge filter used in a fluidized bed granulator. A cleaning liquid 10 is reserved in a processing container 2. In the processing container 2, a cartridge filter 3 is placed in the state of being immersed in the cleaning liquid 10. The filter 3 is so disposed as to be capable of rotating around a rotational axis line O that is substantially horizontal in the processing container 2. Air nozzles 8 are disposed below the cartridge filter 3. An uplift pressure of bubbles rising out of the liquid into the atmosphere is added to a bubble flow BF jetted from the air nozzles 8. As a result of the synergic effect of the jet pressure of the bubble flow BF and the uplift pressure, the filter 3 rotates in an efficient way, leading to an improvement in cleaning efficiency.

摘要: A main controller, equipped in a car audio/visual (A/V), navigation, or a portable phone, is enabled to contact an emergency contact during an emergency. This is done by incorporating a shock sensor on an in-vehicle sensor, or a portable phone, so that a portable phone controller detects a signal from the shock sensor at a constant or certain time interval and, upon detection of a signal at a certain level or higher, executes an instruction of an emergency contact. Thus resulting in a service provision system capable of responding quickly to an emergency situation involving human life via the portable information equipment's emergency contact, if an emergency situation involving human life occurs.

摘要: A scanning device for recording/reading data in data tracks of a recording medium includes a light source supported by a tracking head for guiding a light beam along the data tracks. The data tracks are rotated and the beam is focussed onto the data tracks. The light source is moved at an angle .alpha. with respect to the radial direction of motion of the data tracks. An optical element directs the light beam to the recording medium and directs light reflected from the recording medium to a detector. An astimatic element is arranged between the optical element and the detector. The scanning device is improved in that the astimatic element has one axis arranged at the angle .alpha. with respect to the radial direction of motion.

摘要: In a storage device, a bad-sector detecting unit detects a bad sector, and a process determining unit determines whether rescue process is performed for the bad sector. Upon determining to perform the rescue process, the process determining unit controls a damping ratio. A table-updating control unit records various information in an alternating-process control table, and a controller records and reproduces data with respect to a rescue sector based on the alternating-process control table.
