摘要: The object of the present invention is to provide a process for producing particles of a metal compound having a spherical particle shape and an average particle diameter larger than 0.3 μm without employing high-pressure conditions. This object is achieved by a process for producing particle of a metal compound comprising a step of adjusting pH of an aqueous solution containing urea and at least one metal element to from 4 to 8, a step of heating the aqueous solution under normal pressure, a step of separating a solid from the solution, and a step of drying the solid.

摘要: The objective of the present invention is to provide a phosphor for use in a light emitting element excited by vacuum ultraviolet-ray that has high brightness even after plasma exposure. 摘要: The present invention provides a phosphor, a phosphor paste and a light emitting device. The phosphor comprises a compound represented by the formula (1): M13(1-x)Eu3xM2mM3nO3+m+2n (1) wherein M1 is at least one selected from the group consisting of Ba, Sr and Ca, M2 is at least one selected from the group consisting of Mg and Zn, M3 is at least one selected from the group consisting of Si and Ge, and m, n and x satisfy the following relations: 0.9≦m≦1.1; 1.8 ≦n≦2.2; and 0.00016 ≦x≦0.003. The phosphor paste comprises the phosphor, an optional organic binder and an optional solvent. The light emitting device comprises the phosphor, and an optional excitation source for the phosphor.

摘要: An image reading device including a contact glass; a reading unit; a pressure plate; a pressure-plate opening/closing sensor; and circuitry. The circuitry determines a presence or absence of external light input to a space between the pressure plate and the surface of the contact glass based on image data obtained by the reading unit when the light source is turned off; compares read data according to light emitted from the light source and received by the image sensor when the pressure plate is closed, with read data of a reference value obtained when the pressure plate is completely closed, to obtain a difference and determine a state of the read data based on the difference; and determines whether the pressure plate is open or closed based on a determination result of the presence or absence of external light and on the difference.
