摘要: A method and apparatus for providing peer ownership of shared objects. In the invention, shared objects are implemented as a shell object with shared object state stored in shared memory. Each process that shares the object is granted a shell object within their process space which points to the object state in shared memory. All processes share equal access to the shared object, with no single process determining the lifetime of the shared object. The shutdown of any single process results in the termination of that process's respective shell object, without the necessary termination of the shared object state in shared memory. There is therefore no shutdown problem. Further, performance is enhanced because all processes access the shared object state in shared memory in what is essentially an in-process call. In an embodiment of the invention, a peer ownership manager acts as the object server for all shared objects whose object state resides in shared memory. A global table is maintained within the peer ownership manager which contains the shared memory offset location of each object's state referenced by the GID (global identifier number) of the object. Also, for each process, a shell table is maintained in which existing shell objects for a given process are referenced by the offset value for the object's state in shared memory. Methods are provided for supporting object webs in shared memory, and for putting dynamically sized data and standard non-peer objects into shared objects in shared memory.

摘要: The intravenous catheter device (100) includes a catheter hub (102), a valve member (158), an actuator member (176) and a valve closure member (192). The valve member (158) includes a convex portion (162) provided with slits (170) defining prongs (172). The slits (170) are configured to open when a needle (116) is pierced through the slit (170) to puncture a vein of a patient. The valve closure member (192) is disposed inside the catheter hub (102) such that the first surface (194) of the valve closure member (192) abuts the convex portion (162) of the valve member (158). When the luer lock member (206) abutting the actuator member (176) inside the catheter hub (102) is disengaged, the valve closure member (192) is adapted to push the prongs (172), closing the passage (204) for the fluid flow and preventing blood flow from the punctured vein of the patient.

The integrated profile may be generated based at least in part on obtained historical offline and online consumer-related behavior information relating to the person. Use and association of online and offline unique identifiers for the person can allow sharing of targeting information between online and offline entities while maintaining a degree of privacy with regard to the person.

摘要: A cellular communications system is provided in which a user device sends a Service Request to a Mobility Management Entity together with parameter data that depends on the service that is requested. The Mobility Management Entity then determines from the parameter value if AS security is required to provide the requested service. If it is not, then the Mobility Management Entity accepts the Request without providing security parameters for establishing another signalling radio bearer so that an existing signalling radio bearer is used to provide the requested service. If it is, then the Mobility Management Entity accepts the Request and provides security parameters for establishing another signalling radio bearer to be used in providing the requested service.
