    摘要： In a magnetic recording and reproducing apparatus of 2-head helical scan type, an overlapping portion is formed at one end of each video track on a magnetic tape, and a PCM audio signal is recorded on this overlapping portion. Video/audio selective switching circuits are disposed on the input or output side of video and audio recording amplifiers, and video/audio selective switching circuits and video/audio playback equalizer circuits are disposed on the output side of video and audio playback amplifiers. Each of the heads acts as both of a video head and an audio head.

    摘要： A magnetic recording and reproducing apparatus for eliminating the crosstalk component from an adjacent track of a tape of a VTR and obtaining a high picture quality. Chrominance signals in the base band which are produced by a low frequency conversion chroma signal are supplied to comb-shaped filters which are used in the magnetic recording and reproducing apparatus. The chrominance signals in the base band are obtained by generating carriers synchronized with a burst signal of the low frequency conversion chroma signal including the jitter component upon reproduction and by multiplying the carriers and the low frequency conversion chroma signal. A burst signal portion between the resultant chrominance signals in the base band is applied as a frequency control input signal to an oscillator as the carrier generating source, so that desired carriers are derived. Thus, the frequency fluctuation is eliminated from the converted chrominance signal in the base band and the high picture quality can be realized.

    摘要： A digital signal recording and reproducing apparatus comprising a dynamic range compression/expansion apparatus. The compression/expansion apparatus receives a digital signal from, for example, an analog-to-digital converter and compresses the dynamic range of the digital signal and the so compressed digital signal is supplied to a recording signal processing circuit in the recording operation mode, while the apparatus receives a digital signal reproduction output from a recording/reproducing head and expands the dynamic range of the reproduced digital signal and the so expanded digital signal is supplied to, for example, a digital-to-analog converter in the reproducing operation mode. The compression/expansion apparatus includes a circuit for controlling the transient response of the apparatus, that is, for controlling the operation of compression/expansion of the dynamic range of the digital signal during transient of the digital signal so that recording of the digital signal is performed at a high density with a high quality, without suffering breathing effect, overflow, etc.

    摘要： A tracking controlling device is provided which is suitable for a rotating head helical scanning-type magnetic video signal recording and reproducing apparatus in which pilot signals of a plurality of frequencies are recorded in advance on tracks on a magnetic tape such as to be superimposed on video signals, and the pilot signals are reproduced during reproduction so as to effect tracking control. This tracking controlling device comprises means for separating and detecting two reproducing pilot signals from both tracks adjacent to the track being scanned by the rotating head, a comparator for comparing the magnitude of the reproducing pilot signals from the adjacent tracks and for generating a binary PWM signal in accordance with the magnitude, and controlling means for controlling the rotation of a capstan motor for driving the magnetic tape using the tracking error signal converted into the form of the PWM signal obtained by the output of the comparator. The tracking error signal converted to the PWM signal is capable of directly switching over and controlling the driving circuit for the capstan motor.
