    摘要: A screw compressor includes a screw rotor, a casing, a low pressure space, a bypass passage and a slide valve. The screw rotor is provided with a plurality of helical grooves forming fluid chambers. The casing includes a cylinder portion with the screw rotor disposed in the cylinder portion. The low pressure space is formed in the casing to receive a flow of uncompressed, low pressure fluid. The bypass passage is opened in an inner peripheral surface of the cylinder portion to communicate the fluid chamber with the low pressure space. The slide valve is slideable in an axial direction of the screw rotor to change an area of an opening of the bypass passage in the inner peripheral surface of the cylinder portion. An end face of the slide valve facing the bypass passage is inclined along an extending direction of the helical grooves.

    摘要: A golf club shaft and a golf club using such a golf club shaft are achieved in which the isotropy of the prepregs configuring a torsion rigidity holding layer is high and in which sufficient torsional rigidity can be secured with a lesser number of plies of prepregs.The golf club shaft is characterized by a torsional rigidity holding layer made of a thermosetting resin which contains reinforced fibers extending obliquely to a longitudinal direction of the shaft. The torsional rigidity holding layer includes a multilayer set prepreg, in which at least two layers of prepregs made of reinforced fibers are impregnated with a thermosetting resin. A plurality of prepregs in the multilayer set prepreg include reinforced fibers extending in mutually different directions; and the multilayer set prepreg is continuously wound by at least two turns with the plurality of prepregs layered on each other.

    摘要: An abnormality detection apparatus of an engine temperature adjusting thermostat is provided which is capable of accurately grasping the state of an amount of heat generated by an engine to prevent misdetection of abnormality in the thermostat for improved reliabilty. The abnormality detection apparatus includes a heat amount parameter detection section for detecting an operating condition related to an amount of heat generated by the engine as a heat amount parameter (EQ), an abnormality determination section for comparing the temperature of cooling water with a predetermined allowable lower limit to determine abnormality of the thermostat when the heat amount parameter (EQ) reaches a reference heat amount (EQo), a small heat amount determination section for determining whether the amount of heat generated by the engine is in a small amount state, a large heat amount determination section for determining whether the amount of heat generated by the engine is in a large amount state, and an abnormality determination prohibition section for disabling the abnormality determination section when at least one of the small amount state and the large amount state of the amount of heat is determined.

With this arrangement, when purge control is carried out, the air-fuel ratio control apparatus can control the air-fuel ratio of a mixture to be introduced into the internal combustion engine to a target value with excellent accuracy at all times.

    摘要: A method for measuring a mass distribution of a shaft in a longitudinal axis direction thereof includes the steps of firstly, setting a plurality of measuring areas on a shaft to be measured. The measuring areas are split in the longitudinal axis direction of the shaft. Secondly, a constant amount of .beta. rays are emitted onto each measuring area from one side of the shaft in the radial direction. The amount of .beta. rays transmitted through the measuring areas of the shaft is measured at the other side of the shaft. Thirdly, the diameter of the shaft at each measuring area is measured to obtain a relative mass distribution of the shaft in the longitudinal axis direction in accordance with the.beta. ray data representing the amount of .beta. rays transmitted through each measuring area and the diameter data. A method for measuring a mass distribution of a shaft in the circumferential direction thereof is also disclosed. The invention is also directed to an apparatus for carrying out the above measuring method.
