摘要： An image recording apparatus for recording an image on a recording medium by using a transfer recording medium having a transfer recording layer whose transfer characteristics change on application of a plurality of kinds of energy thereto. The apparatus comprises: a conveyor for conveying the transfer recording medium; a recording section disposed along an advancing route of the transfer recording medium conveyed by the conveyor and having energy applicators for selectively applying the plurality of kinds of energy to the transfer recording medium; a transfer section for transferring an image formed on the transfer recording medium in the recording section onto the recording medium; and a contacting member disposed between the recording section and the transfer section in such a manner as to be brought into contact with the transfer recording medium. Members constituting the advancing route of the transfer recording medium are formed separably from a main body of the unit.

摘要： This specification discloses an image recording apparatus having conveying means for conveying a transfer recording medium having a transfer recording layer whose transfer characteristic is varied by first energy and second energy being imparted thereto, a recording unit having first energy imparting means for imparting the first energy to the transfer recording medium and second energy imparting means for imparting the second energy to the transfer recording medium provided along the conveyance route of the transfer recording medium conveyed by the conveying means, a transfer unit for transferring an image formed on the transfer recording medium in the recording unit to a recording medium, and applying means for applying predetermined heat energy and a shearing force to the recording medium to which the image has been transferred in the transfer unit. The specification also discloses an image recording method for recording an image on a recording medium, having the energy imparting step of imparting energy to a transfer recording medium having a transfer recording layer whose transfer characteristic is varied by the energy being imparted thereto to form an image on the transfer recording medium, the transferring step of transferring the image formed on the transfer recording medium by the energy imparting step to the recording medium, and the step of imparting a shearing to the recording medium to which the image has been transferred by the transferring step.

摘要： An image pick-up apparatus is provided with: a charge-coupled device for picking up imaging light from a subject and forming image data; an image-shift mechanism for shifting the charge-coupled device to a plurality of relative positions with respect to the imaging light so as to allow the charge-coupled device to form the image data at the relative positions; an LPF constituted by a filter for removing a spatial frequency component that appears due to a light-quantity difference between a plurality of pieces of image data generated by the charge-coupled device through the image-shift mechanism; and a memory control section for combining the plurality of image data. With this arrangement, it is possible to suppress a striped pattern due to the light-quantity difference, and consequently to improve the image quality.

摘要： An imaging apparatus reduces the influence of the movement of hands and of the motion of an object on a high resolution picture image. Picture image light from the object passes through an optical system and light-transmitting domains of a color filter provided at the light incident side of an imaging device. The light-transmitting domains transmit only predetermined chromatic lights of the picture image light to input to corresponding photo-receiving domains of the imaging device. The imaging device is a two-picture element mixed reading type device. In a high resolution mode, an image forming point of the picture image light is moved to two places in parallel, and the picture image light is formed at each image forming point to image the picture image light. Then, the signal processing circuit combines the two original picture image signals whose image forming points during the imaging operation are different to generate a single output picture image signal. Thereby, an equivalent imaging time in imaging a single output picture image may be shortened.

摘要： A compound of the formula ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 represents a hydrogen atom or a lower alkyl group; R.sub.2 and R.sub.5, independently from each other, represent a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom or a lower alkyl group; one of R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 represents an imido group of the formula ##STR2## in which Y represents a 1,2-phenylene, 1,2-naphthylene, 2,3-naphthylene or 1,8-naphtylene group optionally containing at least one substituent, and the other represents a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom or a lower alkyl group; R.sub.6 represents a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a lower alkyl group or a lower alkoxy group; and X represents a halogen atom; with the proviso that when R.sub.3 represents the imido group, R.sub.2 represents a hydrogen or halogen atom. This compound can be prepared by reacting a corresponding quinaldine derivative with a tetrahalophthalic acid or a reactive derivative thereof. A yellow organic pigment comprising this compound as a coloring ingredient is useful for coloring polymeric materials.
