    Abstract: An image forming device includes a development unit that forms a toner image, a fixation unit that includes a handle including a grip part and fixes the toner image transferred to a record medium on the record medium and a heat insulation duct that is situated between the development unit and the fixation unit and inhibits transmission of heat of the fixation unit to the development unit. The handle is provided to be able to shift between an operational position for being gripped by an operator and an operating position at which the handle is in contact with the heat insulation duct.

    Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes an image forming apparatus body, a cassette attaching section and a media cassette. The media cassette includes a loading plate, a pushing up member, a projecting portion and a plate holding portion that engages the loading plate. A release portion engages the plate holding portion. The cassette attaching section has a media supplying roller that supplies media to the image forming apparatus body. The plate holding portion engages the loading plate and holds the loading plate against a pushing up force of the pushing up member. The plate holding portion holds the loading plate when the support section of the media cassette is located outside the cassette attaching section. The media cassette may be inserted into the cassette attaching section.

    Abstract: A medium conveying device including a first stacker to which a medium is ejected, a first conveying path guiding the medium to the first stacker, a second conveying path branched from the first conveying path at a first branching position, and a second stacker to which the medium guided by the second conveying path is ejected. The second stacker is provided on an apparatus main body so as to be openable and closable. A first switching unit is movable between a first position and a second position. The first switching unit guides the medium to the first conveying path at the first branching position when the first switching unit is in the first position, and guides the medium to the second conveying path at the first branching position when the first switching unit is in the second position. A moving mechanism moves the first switching unit from the first position to the second position in conjunction with an opening operation of the second stacker.
