More specifically, a method for producing X-rays and the use of the X-ray source for x-raying bodies (for example human bodies). An aerogel, for example in the form of a rod, may be provided in a housing as a target. Said target may be bombarded with an electron beam, the aerogel being vaporized due to the extreme low density and the high energy. As a result, the target is guided by means of a roller such that an unused target for producing, in particular, the monochromatic X-rays, is always available.

During operation, the RF field acts on a particle beam which traverses the RF resonator cavity. At least one intermediate electrode for increasing the dielectric strength is arranged in the RF resonator cavity along the beam path of the particle beam, wherein the conductivity of the intermediate electrode is limited such that upon coupling-in of the electromagnetic RF field at the operating frequency of the RF resonator cavity the intermediate electrode is at least partially penetrated by the coupled-in electromagnetic RF field.

The cavity includes a first cylindrical portion, a second cylindrical portion, and a dielectric ring that connects the first portion and the second portion. The inner face of the first cylindrical portion has an electrically conductive first inner coating. An inner face of the second cylindrical portion has an electrically conductive second inner coating. An electrically conductive first enclosed coating is arranged between the first cylindrical portion and the dielectric ring. An electrically conductive second enclosed coating is arranged between the second cylindrical portion and the dielectric ring. The first enclosed coating is conductively connected to the first inner coating. The second enclosed coating is conductively connected to the second inner coating. The HF resonator includes a device that is provided for applying a high-frequency electric voltage between the first enclosed coating and the second enclosed coating.

    摘要: An x-ray source comprising a housing, in which a target in the form of an ionized cloud based on metal vapour is provided. The ionized cloud can be excited by means of an electron beam for emitting monochromatic x-rays. The low atom density advantageously produces only a little braking radiation. The robustness of the plasma with respect to the inevitable thermal energy input is also advantageous with respect to the solid target materials. The cloud can be filled at any time with target material which can be vaporised by means of an electric arc. A method for producing x-rays with the above-mentioned x-ray source is also provided. The use of an x-ray source for emitting monochromatic x-rays for x-raying a body is further provided.

    摘要: In a radiation therapy and magnetic resonance unit, a magnetic resonance diagnosis part is provided. A radiation therapy part is provided for irradiation of an irradiation area within an interior of the diagnosis part. The radiation therapy part comprises a beam deflection enclosure for deflecting an electron beam toward an axis of the diagnosis part from an initial trajectory parallel to the axis. The beam deflection enclosure comprises a first magnetic field in a region of the beam deflection enclosure but of opposite direction and effective to cancel a main magnet field of the diagnosis part. A second magnet field is directed perpendicular to a trajectory of the electron beam to cause the electron beam to be deflected inward towards the axis.
