Abstract: A vehicle includes a chassis, a body coupled to the chassis, a lift assembly coupled to the body, a collection arm assembly coupled to the lift assembly and including a pair of interface members configured to engage an object, an object detection system configured to provide object detection data, and a controller. The controller is configured to receive an indication, based on the object detection data, that the object is within an aligned zone relative to the body, provide instructions on a display that, when performed, result in the lift assembly moving so that the pair of interface members are aligned to engage the object, and the collection arm assembly actuating and engaging the pair of interface members with the object.

The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium has instructions stored thereon that, upon execution by a processor of a portable user device, cause the processor to acquire data from a reader of the portable user device regarding an identifier on a machine, perform a verification process to verify that a user of the portable user device has access to the machine based on the identifier, wirelessly connect the portable user device to the machine in response to the user being verified to access the machine, display a control interface for the machine on a user interface of the portable user device, receive a user input through the control interface regarding operation of a controllable component of the machine, and provide a command to the machine based on the user input to facilitate remote operation of the controllable component of the machine.

Abstract: A refuse vehicle has a chassis supporting a plurality of wheels, as well as a motor. A vehicle body is also supported by the chassis and defines a receptacle for storing refuse. A lifting system is configured to engage and lift waste containers to transfer refuse within waste containers into the receptacle using a hydraulic system. The refuse vehicle also has a processing unit in communication with the lifting system and the motor. The processing unit is configured to access and execute a plurality of preset operational modes stored within a memory to adjust performance parameters of the hydraulic system. The operational modes include at least two different operational modes corresponding to different refuse types.

Abstract: A drum control system includes a mixture sensor and a controller. The mixture sensor is configured to be positioned within a drum to engage with drum contents to facilitate acquiring drum contents data indicative of a property of the drum contents. Abstract: A refuse vehicle includes a battery configured to provide electrical energy to drive at least one of a plurality of wheels, a vehicle body supported by the chassis and defining a receptacle for storing refuse therein, and an electric power take-off system including a motor configured to power to a hydraulic system in response to receiving the electrical energy from the battery, an inverter configured to provide the electrical energy to the motor from the battery, a sensor configured to detect thermal energy within the inverter, and a controller configured to receive data from the sensor, wherein the controller is further configured to determine if the data from the sensor is greater than a critical operating condition and reduce a rate of electrical energy supplied to the motor in response to determining that the data from the sensor is greater than the critical operating condition.
