摘要: An apparatus is provided for use with a pressurized-water reactor's steam generator having a manifold chamber enclosing the bottom side of a horizontal tube sheet having holes therethrough in which are mounted the tubes of a heat exchanger tube bundle, the manifold chamber having a manhole giving access to the tube's bottom side to permit internal inspection or repair of the tubes by registration of an end of a flexible guide conduit with the tube sheet holes and through which a flexible carrier can be guided for insertion via these holes in the tube sheet and through the tubes extending from the tube sheet's other side. The apparatus is a light-weight fixture which is manually insertable through the manhole and comprising a beam, means for detachably supporting the beam horizontally in the chamber beneath the tube sheet's bottom side, a horizontal cantilever arm having one end provided with means for supporting the aforementioned guide conduit with its end pointing upwardly and means for mounting the other end of the arm on the beam for horizontal movement of its end having the guide conduit supporting means. The carrier is a flexible hose insertable through any one of the heat exchanger tubes, and being tubular, the carrier hose can carry conductors from an inspection or repair device mounted on the inner end of the carrier hose, back to the relatively safe, remote location for measuring or controlling purposes. The apparatus has additional features.

摘要: The invention relates to a headlamp adjusting device with lamp units that can be adjusted in groups. To this end, each lamp unit is mounted individually directly or indirectly in the headlamp housing by means of one respective joint; and it is swivelably mounted in a first feed mechanism. The headlamp adjusting device comprises a second feed mechanism. The second feed mechanism guides the first feed mechanism. The orientation of the feed motion of the first feed mechanism and the orientation of the feed motion of the second feed mechanism enclose an angle, which is not equal to an integral multiple of Pi. With the present invention a space-saving headlamp adjusting device for adjusting the lamp units in two directions of adjustment is developed.

摘要: A mixed hardware register and memory architecture is provided by the present invention to maintain the advantage of variable length stack frames while eliminating the requirement for a stack pointer. The invention includes a global register bank and a stack register bank with two independent address means for addressing the global and stack register banks. Registers are provided as temporary memories for the source operand and destination operand, and a second data path is provided for transfer of data words directly from memory to the local and global registers. The frame pointer is incorporated as a portion of the status register present in the global register bank. Storage of the status register on a call instruction and restore of the status register in a return instruction automatically stores the frame pointer providing the elimination of a hardware register and one cycle in both call and return instructions over prior art devices. The register to register architecture of the invention allows elimination of the stack pointer and stack instructions such as push and pull are unnecessary resulting in a compact instruction set.

摘要: A light assembly disperses light emitted by a light source. The lighting assembly includes a light entry surface for receiving the light emitted by the light source. A direction surface directs the light in a predetermined direction. A stepped region, disposed adjacent the light entry surface receives the light directed by the direction surface and reflects the light. The stepped region includes a plurality of step parts, each defining a light deflection surface, wherein each of the light deflection surfaces is greater in area s step distance between the light deflection surface and the direction surface increases.

摘要: The sludge water valve for closing the opening communicating with a sludge water discharge channel is disposed in that surface of the side wall of the excess head chamber which is near the solid bed of the filter system and is adapted to open with a hinging movement around a pivot extending substantially at the height of the solid bed along the bottom edge of the valve lid.The discharge rate of the water in the excess head chamber is controlled, and discharge of granular material forming the bed prevented, by the lid being opened stepwise. The top edge of the lid forms a weir edge for the water layer which is immediately above the bed. Consequently, the residual column of the water in the excess head chamber is reduced for the air phase of backwashing.
