摘要: The technique disclosed herein provides a terminal that enables welding with an external member to be realized without requiring surface treatment of a metallic portion having been pressure-welded during ultrasonic welding. The terminal disclosed herein is a terminal constituting any of positive and negative electrodes of a secondary battery and includes a plate-like metallic first member and a metallic second member which is ultrasonically welded to one plate surface of the first member. A recessed portion is formed on a surface on an opposite side to the surface, to which the second member is welded, of the first member, and ultrasonic welding between the first member and the second member is realized in the recessed portion.

摘要: A terminal component includes a first metal and a second metal overlapped on the first metal, the first metal having a part to be connected to an internal terminal, and the second metal having a part to be exposed to the outside of a battery case. At an interface where the first metal and the second metal are overlapped, one of the first metal and the second metal has a protrusion having a flat top portion. The other metal is joined to the top portion. A cross section of the protrusion orthogonal to a projection direction of the protrusion is set such that fusing occurs when a current equal to or higher than a predetermined current value flows between the first metal and the second metal.

摘要: A secondary battery terminal is provided which is constituted by dissimilar metals and which has a structure capable of preventing liquid from penetrating into a boundary between the dissimilar metals of the terminal. The terminal disclosed herein includes a plate-like metallic first member and a second member which is metallically joined to one plate surface of the first member and which is constituted by a metal that differs from a metal constituting the first member. A first stepped portion constituted by an end of the second member, which is more protruded than the one plate surface of the first member, is formed at a boundary between the plate surface and the metallically-joined second member and, further, a second stepped portion which protrudes from the one plate surface of the first member is formed on the plate surface.

摘要: A secondary battery includes a flat wound electrode body in which an electrode sheet is wound, and an electrode terminal. The electrode sheet has a current collector, an electrode active material layer which is formed on a surface of the current collector, and a non-formation portion in which the electrode active material layer is not formed on the surface of the current collector. The wound electrode body has a first end portion in which a rounded portion is formed. A first slit is formed along a winding direction in the non-formation portion at the first end portion. A flat surface portion to which the electrode terminal is joined is provided in a portion positioned further toward opposite than the first slit from the electrode active material layer in a portion of the non-formation portion at the first end portion.

摘要: An ultrasonic joining horn disclosed herein can generate ultrasonic vibration in a predetermined vibration direction and includes a base portion, a stand portion that rises from an upper surface of the base portion, and a pressure contact portion formed of a plurality of protrusions that protrude from an upper surface of the stand portion. Each of the protrusions is formed into a pyramid shape or a truncated pyramid shape, the protrusions are arrayed, and when viewed from top, at least a portion of a peripheral edge of a portion in which the protrusions are arrayed has a zigzag shape. The zigzag portion is formed along at least one of the vibration direction and a perpendicular direction to the vibration direction. The upper surface of the base portion has an exposed surface on which the stand portion is not formed.

摘要: The secondary battery includes: a square battery case; and a wound electrode body accommodated in the battery case. The wound electrode body has a positive electrode sheet and a negative electrode sheet overlapping with each other to be wound about a winding axis to have a rectangular shape when seen from a winding axis direction. The wound electrode body has corner parts positioned at four corners of the wound electrode body when seen from the winding axis direction. The positive electrode sheet has a positive electrode collector and a positive electrode active material layer. The negative electrode sheet has a negative electrode collector and a negative electrode active material layer. Folding grooves are formed along the winding axis direction at portions of the positive electrode active material layer or portions of the negative electrode active material layer that are positioned at the corner parts.
