    摘要: Particulate synthetic zeolite is micronized in a liquid organic medium to form a micronized zeolite product having an average (mean) particle size of about 2 microns or less and containing at least 90% by weight, based on the dry weight of the zeolite product, if isolated, of particles no larger than about 5 microns. Preferably, the micronized zeolite product has a mean particle size of 1 micron or less, and at least 90% by weight of the zeolite product, based on the dry weight of the zeolite product, if isolated, has a particle size of 2 microns or less. The liquid organic medium used is (a) inert or substantially inert, (b) devoid or substantially devoid of water, and (c) devoid of a dispersant.

    摘要: A quaternary ammonium compound is combined with a water-soluble anionic surfactant having a hydrophile/lipophile balance (HLB) of 14 or above to form a biocidal/surfactant composition in which the amount of (ii) is up to 50 wt % of the total weight of these components. In the presence of water or other suitable aqueous media, such compositions appear to form a soluble charge complex. But whatever actually happens in the aqueous medium, the surfactant properties of the quaternary ammonium compound are improved without jeopardizing or impairing its germicidal properties.

    摘要: Preceramic compositions which have particular utility in providing protective ceramic coatings on normally oxidizable materials, such as carbon/carbon and other carbon-containing composites and other materials, are obtained by dispersing solid particles comprising aluminum nitride particles in an organic solvent solution of a polysilazane. Ceramic coatings derived from the dispersions may serve as intermediate strata in multilayer ceramic coatings over substrates, such as carbon/ carbon composites, to provide even greater protection to the substrates, even when exposed to humidity.

    摘要: Preceramic compositions which have particular utility in providing protective ceramic coatings on normally oxidizable materials, such as carbon/silicon carbide and other carbon-containing composites and other materials, are obtained by dispersing solid particles comprising aluminum nitride particles in an organic solvent solution of an organoborosilazane polymer obtainable by reacting about 0.25-20 parts by weight of a trialkoxy-, triaryloxy-, or tri(arylalkoxy)boroxine with one part by weight of a polysilazane in an organic solvent. Ceramic coatings derived from the dispersions may be overcoated with ceramics derived from other preceramic polysilazane compositions to provide even greater protection to the substrates.
