    摘要: A button attaching device includes a top member and a bottom member which are hingedly connected together, the bottom member including an anvil. The button attaching device further includes a needle block assembly mounted on the top member. The needle block assembly includes a block of material, a pair of rodless fastener dispensing needles and a fastener. The fastener is shaped to include a foot formed at each end of a filament which can be removably mounted on one of the pair of rodless fastener dispensing needles. In one embodiment of the present invention, the needle block assembly is removably mounted on the top member and is sized and shaped so as to fit within a needle block assembly storage compartment formed in the bottom member. In another embodiment of the present invention, a plurality of needle block assemblies are interconnected to form a needle block carousel which is rotably mounted within a hollowed portion formed in the top member. The carousel comprises a mounting block rotably mounted on the top member, each of the plurality of needle block assemblies being spring mounted on the mounting block.

    摘要: A button attaching device for attaching a button having four holes to a layer of material includes a holder having a front end and a rear end, four rodless fastener dispensing needles projecting out from the front end of the holder and two fasteners, each having a foot at each end of an elongated filament. Each foot is removably mounted on one of the rodless fastener dispensing needles. A cover is removably mounted on the front end of the holder and includes an anvil. In use, the cover is removed from the holder and the layer of material placed on the cover over the anvil. The button is then placed over the layer of material. The holder is then pushed in the direction of the cover so that the needles and fastener feet extend through the holes in the button and through the layer of material, with the tips of the needles striking the anvil. The tension on the filaments of the fasteners causes the feet to pop out from the needles. The needles are then withdrawn leaving the button secured to the layer of material by the fasteners.

    摘要: A system for production of an electromagnetic (EM) field having EM emissions mitigated at one or more predetermined locations within a Hearing Aid Compliant (HAC) measurement plane is provided. The EM field mitigation system includes a ground plane, an antenna element, and a parasitic resonator element. The antenna element is coupled to the ground plane and resonates within at least one predetermined frequency band for transmitting and receiving the radio frequency (RF) signals modulated at one or more frequencies within the at least one predetermined first frequency band. The parasitic resonator element includes at least a first leg and a second leg connected to the ground plane and located a predetermined distance from the antenna element for mitigation of the EM emissions of the antenna element at the one or more predetermined locations within the HAC measurement plane. The first leg of the parasitic resonator element is connected to the ground plane on a first side of an effective electric field mid-line laterally dividing the ground plane and the second leg of the parasitic antenna element is connected to the ground plane on a second side of the effective electric field mid-line of the ground plane.

    摘要: A new approach is proposed that contemplates systems and methods to overcome the limitations described above in order to provide a user with a more deterministic experience when using his/her touch screen-enables instant-on device such as a smartphone. More specifically, the user is provided with a lock menu screen via an application, which displays a menu of a plurality of applications that can be run on his/her phone when the user unlocks/wakes up the phone. Since the user typically uses only a limited number of applications most of the time, the lock menu application allows the user to specify these applications and then provides them quick access to these applications. This not only provides the user with a deterministic experience by allowing them quick access to their most important applications when the phone wakes up, but also allows the user to return to the application that was running prior to the phone going to sleep if the user desires.
