Abstract:
An electrosurgical lysing device and related methods. In some embodiments, the device may comprise a lysing tip comprising one or more beads. The bead(s) may comprise an at least substantially electrically non-conductive surface and may define, at least in part, both a distally-facing and a proximally-facing recess. At least one electrically conductive lysing member configured to deliver electrosurgical energy may be positioned adjacent to the at least one bead, the at least one lysing member defining at least one lysing segment extending within a recess at least partially defined by the at least one bead.
Abstract:
Electrosurgical lysing devices and related systems and methods. In some embodiments, the lysing device may comprise a lysing tip comprising a plurality of beads and at least one lysing member, such as a lysing rod, defining at least one lysing segment extending between each pair of adjacent beads. The at least one lysing member may extend through a tunnel extending at least partially through each of the plurality of beads so as to define the at least one lysing segment between each pair of adjacent beads.
Abstract:
Systems, apparatus and methods for tissue dissection and modification are disclosed herein. A method for tissue dissection and modification may comprise inserting a tissue dissecting and modifying wand (TDM) through an incision in a patient's body. The TDM may comprise a tip having a plurality of protrusions with lysing segments positioned between the protrusions to dissect and/or modify tissue. The TDM may also comprise an energy window positioned on top of the TDM that is configured to deliver energy to modify tissues. After separating tissue using the lysing segment(s) to define a target region, the energy window may be activated and moved around within the target region to modify tissues. In some implementations, the energy window may be activated prior to and/or during dissection of the tissue such that the tissue is separated while tissue is modified within the target region.
Abstract:
Electrosurgical lysing devices and related systems and methods. In some embodiments, the lysing device may comprise a lysing tip comprising a plurality of beads. One or more of the plurality of beads may be electrically non-conductive, at least along their respective surfaces. The lysing tip may further comprise at least one lysing member defining at least one lysing segment extending between each pair of adjacent beads. At least a subset of the plurality of beads may protrude both distally and proximally relative to the at least one lysing member.

Apparatus and systems for tissue dissection and modification are disclosed herein. A method for tissue dissection and modification may comprise inserting a tissue dissecting and modifying wand (TDM) through an incision in a patient's body. The TDM may comprise a modular tip having a plurality of protrusions with lysing segments positioned between the protrusions to dissect and/or modify tissue. The TDM may also comprise an energy window positioned on top of the TDM that is configured to deliver energy via thermochromic means to modify tissues. After separating tissue using the lysing segment(s) to define a target region, the energy window may be activated and moved around within the target region to modify tissues. In some implementations, the energy window may be activated prior to and/or during dissection of the tissue such that the tissue is separated while tissue is modified within the target region.
Abstract:
Methods, apparatus and systems for tissue dissection and testing are disclosed herein. A method for tissue dissection and testing may comprise inserting a tissue dissecting wand (TD) through an incision in a patient's body. The TD may comprise a tip having a plurality of protrusions with lysing segments positioned between the protrusions to dissect and/or modify tissue. The TD may also comprise a sensor dock positioned on top of the TD that is configured to allow tissue and/or body fluid contact to a sensor. After separating tissue using the lysing segment(s) to access a target region, the sensor may be activated and moved around within the target region to assess tissues.
