摘要： The modular base for a playing structure, such as a toy building set, includes a first planar member, or tile base, having attachment fittings on its bottom for removable attachment to a substructure, such as a lattice. The top of the first planar member has attachment fittings thereon. Preferably, each of the attachment fittings on the top of the first planar member are aligned with one of the attachment fittings on the bottom to form a common opening through the first planar member. The modular base also includes a second planar member, or tile, having attachment fittings on its bottom. The attachment fittings are preferably protrusions that are most preferably clover leaf in shape and have an interference fit with the attachment fittings on the top of the first planar member that are most preferably square openings.

摘要： A canting ballast twin foil (CBTF) sailing yacht constructed according to the invention includes a sailing hull, a ballast, a ballast-supporting structure, and an onboard ballast drive system. The ballast drive system moves the ballast in order to vary the counter-heeling force it produces underway. Twin foils that depend downwardly from the hull in positions fore and aft of the ballast provide leeway and steering control. 摘要： An adjustable jewelry assembly includes a jewelry chain or other flexible member slidably mounted to a clasp for adjusting a hanging length or opening size of the flexible member. The clasp is formed from a single piece of thin sheet material and includes a pair of walls connected together by a biasing portion. Superimposed tabs with openings extend from the walls in opposite directions. The flexible member is normally held against movement in the clasp by opposing biasing forces exerted by the edges of the openings from the biasing portion. When the walls are pressed toward each other, the flexible member may be slid through the clasp until the desired hanging length or opening size is achieved, then released to clamp the clasp and flexible member against relative movement.

摘要： A plurality of transmitters are multiplexed to a hub through clocked serial links. Timing problems that may arise when switching between links are eliminated with a system including a group serial receiver for each link for performing serial to parallel conversion of data sent over the serial link, outputing a group clock signal based on the serial clock signal, outputing parallel data clocked by the group clock signal, and determining a data enable signal from the serial link. A select signal for determining the serial link being read by the hub selects the corresponding group clock, parallel data, and data enable. A load control clocks the selected parallel data into a first-in, first-out buffer using the selected group clock when the selected data enable is asserted. When the selected data enable is not asserted, the load control is held in reset and, hence, is insensitive to irregularities in the selected clock signal due to switching between links. Data is clocked from the buffer by a local clock.

摘要： An apparatus 10 for testing seal integrity includes a test chamber 24 for receiving a sealed article 12 containing a tracer fluid, a reservoir chamber 44, and an analysis instrument 20 for detecting the presence of tracer fluid leaked from the article 12. A reservoir valve 64 in a conduit 58 coupled between the reservoir chamber 44 and the analysis instrument 20 has an open position for enabling a vacuum to be created in the reservoir chamber 44 using the analysis instrument 20. When closed, the reservoir valve 64 blocks fluid communication between the reservoir chamber 44 and the analysis instrument 20 to isolate the vacuum in the reservoir chamber 44. A valve 48 in a conduit 38 coupled between the test chamber 24 and the reservoir chamber 44 has a closed position for blocking fluid communication between the test chamber and the reservoir chamber. This prevents a pressure change in the test chamber 24 during creation of the vacuum in the reservoir chamber 44. The valve 48 has an open position for enabling the isolated vacuum in the evacuated reservoir chamber 44 to be applied to the article 12 in the test chamber 24 to draw the tracer fluid out of the article 12 through any leakage paths. The contents of the test chamber, including any leaked tracer fluid, are then conveyed to the analysis instrument.
