摘要: Various embodiments of the present disclosure provide systems, methods and devices for respiratory support. As one example, a ventilation system is disclosed that includes a computer readable medium including instructions for operating in a hybrid mode. These instructions include measuring patient effort during a spontaneous breath type and deriving a neural inspiratory time from the measurements of patient effort. This neural inspiratory time is then set as the inspiratory for a breath of a mandatory breath type. If new patient effort measurements are received by the ventilator, the neural inspiratory time may be adjusted.

摘要: Methods and system for determining a likelihood of possible retinopathy of prematurity and alerting a caregiver of such likelihood may employ oxygen saturation measurements. According to certain embodiments, an apparatus for determining a risk of retinopathy of prematurity in a patient may include a processing unit. The processing unit is configured to determine whether an oxygen saturation level of the patient extends beyond an oxygen saturation threshold, determine an extent that the oxygen saturation level of the patient extends beyond the oxygen saturation threshold, and trigger an alarm when the extent that the oxygen saturation level of the patient extends beyond the oxygen saturation threshold exceeds a threshold at which the patient may be at risk of developing retinopathy of prematurity. The apparatus may also include a display unit configured to present the alarm in response to the trigger from the processing unit.

摘要: A ventilator of the present invention includes a housing, a gas flow generator disposed in the housing, a gas outlet port provided on an exterior surface of the housing, and a first conduit coupling the gas flow generator to the gas outlet port. A gas inlet port is also provided on an exterior surface of the housing. A second conduit couples the gas inlet port to a first exhaust valve in the housing that regulates a flow of exhaust gas from the second conduit. A second exhaust valve in the housing is coupled to the first conduit and regulates a flow of exhaust gas from the first conduit. A controller coupled to second exhaust valve causes the second exhaust valve to change a degree of flow restriction based on a respiratory phase of a patient coupled to the ventilator when the ventilator is operating in a single-limb ventilation configuration.

摘要: An adjustably-sized and shaped picture frame formed of corner pieces around which are looped or woven one or more filaments such as colored yarns to form the frame borders. The frames created can be customized to various shapes and sizes. The corner pieces may be molded or molded and machined, and may have a diamond shape with inner side edges that align with outer corners of a sheet of artwork. The filament is woven around posts on both a front face and an outer corner of the corner pieces. A chamfer under a lower face of each corner piece may be used to secure free ends of the filament.

摘要: The present disclosure describes a mode of ventilation that makes an automatic determination of an appropriate mandatory breath type in response to one or more patient based criteria. Specifically, the ventilator during the delivery a mandatory breath type determines whether predetermined ventilatory criteria have been met. Based on the determination, the ventilator may deliver one of any number of mandatory breath types. Further, the present disclosure also combines the advantages of a hybrid mode of ventilation with this automatic determination of an appropriate mandatory breath type in response to one or more patient based criteria.
