    摘要: The present disclosure describes a mode of ventilation that makes an automatic determination of an appropriate mandatory breath type in response to one or more patient based criteria. Specifically, the ventilator during the delivery a mandatory breath type determines whether predetermined ventilatory criteria have been met. Based on the determination, the ventilator may deliver one of any number of mandatory breath types. Further, the present disclosure also combines the advantages of a hybrid mode of ventilation with this automatic determination of an appropriate mandatory breath type in response to one or more patient based criteria.

    摘要: This disclosure describes systems and methods for piloting a pneumatic valve using one or more piezoelectric blowers. According to embodiments, the one or more piezoelectric blowers may be coupled to the pneumatic valve to form a small, light-weight pneumatic valve that may be placed proximal to a ventilated patient, e.g., at the patient wye or the patient interface. Due to the close coupling of the one or more piezoelectric blowers, the pneumatic valve has a substantially shorter response time than traditional pneumatically piloted valves. Moreover, when piezoelectric blowers are coupled to the pneumatic valve in parallel, response time may be further decreased. Additionally or alternatively, when piezoelectric blowers are coupled to the pneumatic valve in series, pilot pressure may be increased as a function of the number of piezoelectric blowers in the series.

    摘要: Various embodiments of the present disclosure provide systems, methods and devices for respiratory support. As one example, a ventilation system is disclosed that includes a computer readable medium including instructions for operating in a hybrid mode. These instructions include measuring patient effort during a spontaneous breath type and deriving a neural inspiratory time from the measurements of patient effort. This neural inspiratory time is then set as the inspiratory for a breath of a mandatory breath type. If new patient effort measurements are received by the ventilator, the neural inspiratory time may be adjusted.

    摘要: Methods and system for determining a likelihood of possible retinopathy of prematurity and alerting a caregiver of such likelihood may employ oxygen saturation measurements. According to certain embodiments, an apparatus for determining a risk of retinopathy of prematurity in a patient may include a processing unit. The processing unit is configured to determine whether an oxygen saturation level of the patient extends beyond an oxygen saturation threshold, determine an extent that the oxygen saturation level of the patient extends beyond the oxygen saturation threshold, and trigger an alarm when the extent that the oxygen saturation level of the patient extends beyond the oxygen saturation threshold exceeds a threshold at which the patient may be at risk of developing retinopathy of prematurity. The apparatus may also include a display unit configured to present the alarm in response to the trigger from the processing unit.
