摘要: A subsea retrievable pressure sensor for measuring fluid pressure at a well or other subsea fluid system. In one embodiment, a pressure sensor assembly includes a subsea pressure housing, a first pressure sensor, an electrical connector, a first hydraulic connector, and a latching mechanism. The first pressure sensor is disposed within the housing, and the electrical connector and first hydraulic connector are disposed in wall of the housing. The electrical connector is electrically coupled to the first pressure sensor to communicate electrical power though the housing to the first pressure sensor and to communicate pressure measurement values from the first pressure sensor through the housing. The first hydraulic connector is hydraulically coupled to the first pressure sensor to communicate hydraulic pressure to the first pressure sensor through the housing. The latching mechanism extends through the housing to secure the housing to a subsea receptacle.

摘要: There are disclosed methods and apparatus for monitoring fluid flow along a conduit such as a well bore or a pipeline. A sensor optical fiber is disposed along the conduit, and an optical interrogator is used to launch probe light pulses into the fiber and to determine optical properties of probe light backscattered within the fiber, the properties being indicative of vibration as a function along the fiber. An analyzer is used to detect one or more vibration features moving along the conduit and to determine a measure of fluid flow based on the detected movement.

摘要: A membrane device comprised of a porous monolith support formed from a reaction-bonded ceramic powder, fired in an oxygen-free atmosphere, the monolith defining a plurality of passageways extending longitudinally from one end face of the monolith to an opposing end face. A semipermeable membrane suitable for separating a feedstock into permeate and retentate is applied to the passageway walls of said monolith. The semipermeable membrane can be selected from the group of membranes suitable for microfiltration, ultrafiltration, nanofiltration, pervaporation, reverse osmosis, and gas separations.

摘要: A porous ceramic support for a gas separation membrane formed by sintering a green body containing grains of a refractory ceramic oxide with a high coefficient of thermal expansion and grains of a reactive binder precursor. Upon sintering, the reactive binder precursor reacts with at least one gaseous, liquid or solid reactant to create a reaction bond that binds the refractory ceramic oxide grains. The support configuration can be a tubular, flat plate, hollow fiber, or multiple-passageway monolith structure.

摘要: A porous reaction-bonded magnesia body with small or negligible shrinkage between the green state and the fired state. The body made by forming a green (i.e., unfired) body of mixed powders containing coarse grains of magnesia in combination with at least one reactive element, and optionally other ceramic oxides and/or compounds, followed by sintering in an oxidizing atmosphere. During sintering, oxidation and/or reaction of the element grain results in an overall volume change that is negligibly small or zero. The resulting body is highly porous, and may be used as a support for a semi-permeable membrane, especially relatively high coefficient of thermal expansion, high-temperature gas separation membranes.
