摘要: A lighting system comprising a plurality of controllable light emitting elements 3 is disclosed. The lighting system further comprising a spreading optical element 5 arranged in front of the plurality of light emitting elements to shape the light emitted from the lighting elements, and a controller 7 for varying a light emission angle range of light emitted from the spreading optical element 5 by controlling each of the plurality of controllable light emitting elements. This allows the light emitted from the spreading optical element to be varied without varying any physical parts of the lighting system, because the controller now controls each of the light emitting elements, by e.g. dimming one or more of the light emitting elements or by switching one or more of the light emitting elements off.

摘要: The invention relates to a modular lighting unit (1) comprising a front side (2), a rear side (3) opposite to the front side (2), at least three edge sides (4a, 4b) surrounding the front side (2), light elements (5) disposed on at least the front side (2), and a magnetic fastening arrangement for attachment with a corresponding magnetic fastening arrangement on a neighboring lighting unit (1). The magnetic fastening arrangement comprises sets of magnets (7a, 7b) of different polarities. Since a pair of magnets may be connected to each other only if the polarities are opposite, the magnets of the modular lighting unit (1) are positioned and the polarities of the magnets (7a, 7b) are arranged, such that two adjacent edge sides (4a, 4b) of two similar neighboring lighting units (1) may be attached to each other only if the modular lighting unit (1) is correctly rotated, resulting in that correct alignment of the lighting units (1) is ensured. The magnets (7a, 7b) are covered by a contact spring (8) which is formed such that a lighting unit (1) may easily be inserted or removed from an existing array (15) of lighting units (1).

摘要: It is disclosed a method for operating a lighting system, which lighting system comprises a plurality of lighting modules, each of which comprises at least one communication unit, via which the respective lighting module is adapted to communicate with at least one neighboring lighting module. A control device may be adapted to communicate control signals to at least one of the lighting modules and each of the lighting modules may be adapted to further communicate control signals communicated to the lighting module to a neighboring lighting module. The method comprises assigning a communication unit of each of a plurality of lighting modules to be an active communication unit associated with a minimum control signal path length value with respect to all of the communication units of the lighting module, as measured from the control device to the communication unit, whereby optimal control signal data paths, each data path being adapted to communicate control signals from the control device to a lighting module, may be formed. It is further disclosed a lighting system adapted to perform the method.

摘要: This invention relates to method of controlling a lighting system including a plurality of polygonal lighting modules and a controlling device, which are able to communicate with each other. The lighting modules are arbitrarily arrange able, since each lighting module is able to communicate with neighboring lighting modules via communication units arranged at several sides of the lighting module. The method includes a learning procedure for defining a lighting module arrangement and a communication network for communication between the controlling device and the lighting modules. During the learning procedure a token is forwarded from lighting module to lighting module, while ensuring that all lighting modules are visited by the token; and geometric information about how the lighting modules are arranged in relation to each other is generated.

The lighting system includes a plurality of interconnectable polygonal lighting modules, wherein each lighting module has a plurality of connection members each including at least one electrical terminal. The connection members are arranged rotationally symmetrically at the lighting module. The lighting system further includes bridge members. Each bridge member has bridge terminals and is mountable at neighboring connection members of different lighting modules, to form a bridge providing an electric connection between connection terminals of the different connection members.

摘要: A cut-to-measure display device comprising a plurality of pixel groups (300) and a main controller. Each pixel group comprises one sub-controller (301) and a plurality of individually controllable pixels (305), out of which all are connected to the sub-controller of the pixel group and at least one is further connected (304) to a sub-controller of an adjacent pixel group. The main controller is connected to the sub-controllers and configured to selectively control the sub-controllers in order that the pixels display an image corresponding to predetermined image data. Cutting a display device with these features into an arbitrary geometric shape may disconnect some pixels from their respective sub-controllers. However, at least one pixel in each pixel group is connected to a further sub-controller which is operable to take the place of a sub-controller from which it has been cut off, so there is a low risk of completely disconnecting pixels.

Said power unit includes a mains power input (2), output terminals (3a, 3b) and a power supply (5) for regulating a supply voltage (V1) of the power unit (1). The power unit further comprises a polarity detector (13), a voltmeter (11) for measuring a voltage (V2) at said output terminals (3a, 3b) and a current meter (12) for measuring a current (A) at said output terminals (3a, 3b). The power unit also comprises a control unit (7), wherein said control unit (7) is arranged to initiate a power up procedure delay of random length after the power unit (1) has been switched on and wherein said control unit (7) is arranged to process information from the voltmeter (11), the current meter (12) and the polarity detector (13), and to control a power output of the power unit (1) on basis of said information.
