    Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station, information that identifies an association between a first cell of a first radio access technology (RAT) and a second cell of a second RAT. The UE may perform a measurement for the first cell. The UE may determine that the measurement for the first cell satisfies a threshold value. The UE may perform an interference canceling operation for a reference signal of the second cell, or a de-weighting operation for one or more resource elements in which the reference signal interferes, based at least in part on the determination that the measurement for the first cell satisfies the threshold value and the association between the first cell and the second cell. Numerous other aspects are described.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive a configuration for a cell from a base station. In some examples, the cell may be deactivated and the base station may configure the cell with one or more base station beams. The UE may receive beam management resources for performing beam management based on the configured base station beams. In some examples, the beam management resources include resources for transmitting or receiving one or more reports indicating a quality of the configured base station beams. The UE may then perform the beam management, while the cell is deactivated, to track one or more UE beams corresponding to the configured base station beams.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some wireless communications systems, a base station may communicate with multiple user equipment (UEs) using multiple radio access technologies (RATs) on a single carrier. As described herein, a base station may transmit an indication that a carrier associated with a first RAT (e.g., Long Term Evolution (LTE)) may support communications using a second RAT (e.g., New Radio (NR)). The base station may transmit the indication in a control channel (e.g., physical broadcast control channel (PBCH)) on the carrier sent along with synchronization signals associated with the first RAT. A UE configured to communicate using the second RAT (e.g., NR) may receive the indication in the control channel and utilize the synchronization signals (e.g., LTE synchronization signals) to synchronize with the base station.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some systems, a user equipment (UE) may perform a calibration to improve the accuracy, reliability, or both of signal transmissions. The UE may determine timing for the calibration procedure based on a received identifier for the UE (e.g., a radio network temporary identifier (RNTI), such as a cell RNTI (C-RNTI)). For example, the UE may determine a calibration offset between a reference time and a calibration gap according to an equation using at least the identifier as input. During the calibration gap, the UE may transmit a calibration signal using one or more antenna ports and may calibrate (e.g., adjust power amplification for) the one or more antenna ports based on an estimated actual transmit power for the calibration signal (e.g., received by other antenna ports of the UE or received by another device).
