摘要: Methods and systems of determining whether an object is alive, and therefore part of a live individual, are described. An object having an outer surface (e.g. a friction-ridge surface of a finger) and internal parts (e.g. tissue layer, papillae, blood vessels, fat, muscle, nail and bone) is scanned by a system having a transmitter, receiver and computer. One such system has a substantially planar piezoelectric transmit-layer, an ultrasonic receiver array having a plurality of receivers, and a platen. The transmit layer is caused to produce an ultrasound plane-wave traveling toward the object residing on the platen. Using the ultrasonic receiver, ultrasonic energy that has been reflected from the object is detected. The detected ultrasonic energy is analyzed to provide an analysis result, and the analysis result is compared to a template. A determination is made as to whether the analysis result and the template are similar, and the object is declared to be alive if the analysis result is determined to be similar to the template.

摘要: Systems and methods for determining a battery-level of an electronic device and conserving the battery charge of the electronic device are disclosed. The battery consumption of an electronic device may be reduced when the user or the device learns via user input or determines via prediction that the battery will be depleted before the next possible charge cycle. Reducing battery consumption could be accomplished by accessing an application requiring less power consumption and/or delaying post-processing of sensor data related to that application, for example a camera application. Prediction of battery life could include determining the time to the next expected battery charge and delaying the processing of sensor data until the electronic device is plugged in and charging or has reached a predetermined charge level.

摘要: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to multi device pairing and sharing via non-touch gestures. In an embodiment, a method comprises detecting, by a parent device, an initiating non-touch gesture performed by a user towards the parent device. The method also comprises initiating an action based on the detecting. The method further comprises triggering, by the parent device, a gesture recognition mode on one or more secondary devices based on the detecting. And the method further comprises completing the action upon a positive gesture recognition by the one or more secondary devices.

摘要: Various arrangements for defining a marker are presented. A first defined marker presented by a public display device may be determined to be insufficient for use by a head mounted display. The first defined marker may be used as a reference point for positioning information for display by the head mounted display. In response to determining that the first defined marker is insufficient, a second marker displayed by the public display device may be defined. The second marker may have a display characteristic different from the first defined marker. The second defined marker may then be used as the reference point for positioning the information for display by the head mounted display. An indication of the second marker may be transmitted to the head mounted display.

摘要: Systems, apparatus and methods for determining a gesture are presented. According to some aspects, disclosed are systems, apparatus and methods for determining a gesture that compares different images and deduces a direction and/or distance based on a relative size change of a palm in the different images. After a reference palm size is registered, subsequent palm sizes are compared to the reference to determine if and/or how much the hand is moving. The hand gesture is determined based on these relative changes in hand movement.
