Abstract: A range estimator determines an at least one code sequence, causes an at least one light source to send the at least one code sequence as an at least one coded light transmission toward one or more targets, wherein the at least one code sequence is encoded as an amplitude-based code over time, or as a wavelength-based code over time, or as a combination thereof, in the at least one coded light transmission, causes a reflected version of the at least one coded light transmission to be received at an at least one sensor from the one or more targets, as a reflected light signal, correlates the reflected light signal with the at least one code sequence, to generate a time-of-flight value for the at least one coded light transmission, and generates a range estimate for the at least one coded light transmission based on the time-of-flight value.

Abstract: A user equipment (UE) may communicate using different radio access technologies on adjacent frequency bands. The UE may determine that the UE is not receiving wireless signals for a second radio access technology that utilizes a second frequency band adjacent to a first frequency band for a first radio access technology. The UE may place a transmitter of the UE in a filter bypass mode in which a transmit signal bypasses a transmit filter for the first radio access technology in response to determining that the wireless signals for the second radio access technology are not received. The UE may scan, using a receiver for the second radio access technology, while in the filter bypass mode, the second frequency band for a signal for the second radio access technology between scheduled transmissions for the first radio access technology.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus for distinguishing between an antenna of a user equipment (UE) being blocked by a cover (e.g., a protective rubber or plastic case) or by human tissue (e.g., a finger or palm). The transmission power of uplink (UL) signals may be adjusted accordingly, with relatively higher transmission power for open space or a cover and relatively lower transmission power for human tissue. One example method for wireless communications by a UE generally includes transmitting a first signal from the UE, receiving a plurality of signals at the UE based on the transmitted first signal, determining values for at least two different types of parameters based on the received plurality of signals, determining an environmental scenario for the UE based on the values for the at least two different types of parameters, and transmitting a second signal using a transmission power based on the determined environmental scenario.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to radio frequency (RF) front-end circuitry. For example, certain aspects provide an apparatus having a first converter circuit configured to upconvert a first baseband (BB) signal to a first RF signal based on a mode of operation, and a second converter circuit configured to upconvert a second BB signal to a second RF signal based on the mode of operation. The apparatus also includes a first RF weight adjustment circuit configured to selectively apply an amplitude weight or a phase weight to at least one of the first RF signal or the second RF signal based on the mode of operation, and a controller configured to control a power state of the second converter circuit in dependence on the mode of operation.
