摘要: A method for compressing a deep neural network includes determining a pruning ratio for a channel and a mixed-precision quantization bit-width based on an operational budget of a device implementing the deep neural network. The method further includes quantizing a weight parameter of the deep neural network and/or an activation parameter of the deep neural network based on the quantization bit-width. The method also includes pruning the channel of the deep neural network based on the pruning ratio.

摘要: Fallback procedures for user equipments (UEs) are described that provide efficient fallback to a four-step random access procedure from a two-step random access procedure. For example, after transmitting a first message of a two-step random access procedure, a UE may start a fallback timer or counter and monitor for a second message of the two-step random access procedure for the duration of the fallback timer or counter. At the expiration of the fallback timer or counter, the UE may fall back to a four-step random access procedure. In some cases, the UE may transmit multiple repetitions of the first message and monitor for responses after transmitting the repetitions or after each repetition. Additionally, or alternatively, the base station may transmit an explicit signal to the UE that may signal to the UE to perform a fallback procedure at a beginning or middle of a random access procedure.

In some aspects, a user equipment may construct, for adjusted fractally enhanced kernel (FRANK) polar coding, encoding code for encoding data of an ultra-reliable low latency (URLLC) communication, wherein an information bit assignment to an information bit set associated with the encoding code is performed based at least in part on an adjusted dimensionality factor, wherein the encoding code is all-stage FRANK polar code or partial-stage FRANK polar code, and wherein the encoding code is constructed for code block shortening or code block puncturing. In some aspects, the user equipment may transmit the URLLC communication encoded using the encoding code based at least in part on the information bit assignment to the information bit set. Efficient low-density parity-check (LDPC) scheduling of layered decoding may include receiving a message encoded as an LDPC code that includes a number of check nodes and a number of bit nodes, applying a first number of decoding iterations to decoding the message, applying a second number of decoding iterations to decoding the message after the first number of decoding iterations are applied, and decoding the message through completion of both the first number of decoding iterations and the second number of decoding iterations. In some cases, only a portion of the number of check nodes is decoded during each of the first number of decoding iterations and all of the number of check nodes are decoded during each of the second number of decoding iterations.

摘要: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. An encoder of a wireless device may receive a number of information bits and a block size for transmission. If the block size is not a power of two, the encoder may round the block size up to the nearest power of 2, generate a larger codeword, and puncture the excess bits. The punctured bits may affect a rate of polarization when generating a polar code, and sub-blocks with a high number of punctured bits may produce too few sufficiently polarized channels. The encoder may implement a capacity backoff when polar coding to identify a greater number of polarized channels. The encoder may assign information bits to sufficiently polarized channels of the greater number of polarized channels.

摘要: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described that provide a number of groups of transmitters, each group of transmitters having at least one user equipment (UE), and each group of transmitters having an associated transmission opportunity (TXO) for transmission of a reference signal. A number of UEs may transmit transmissions to a base station according to non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) techniques in which two or more UEs concurrently transmit to the base station. Depending upon a number of UEs, a number of groups of transmitters, an overloading factor of NOMA transmissions, a system bandwidth, a time span of the reference signal TXO, or any combination thereof, a binary or non-binary orthogonal cover code (OCC) may be applied to transmitted reference signals, which the base station may use to identify reference signals from particular UEs.

In one configuration, the apparatus transmits a first broadcast signal including information indicating an intention to use a unicast resource for a broadcast. In addition, the apparatus transmits a second broadcast signal in the unicast resource. In another configuration, the apparatus, which is a first wireless device, receives a first broadcast signal from a second wireless device including information indicating an intention to use a unicast resource for a broadcast. In addition, the apparatus receives a first scheduling signal from the second wireless device in a scheduling resource. The first scheduling signal is for indicating a second intention to use the unicast resource for transmitting a second broadcast signal. Furthermore, the apparatus refrains from transmitting a second scheduling signal in the scheduling resource in response to the first scheduling signal.
