    Abstract: A cable distribution box includes a base plate, a proximal wall extending from a first side of the base plate, a distal wall extending from a second side of the base plate, a latch formed on a third side of the base plate, and a cover plate extending from the proximal wall. The latch is configured to secure the cable distribution box to a chassis. The cover plate has a center portion that projects towards the base plate, such that the center portion is configured to wrap a cable thereon. The cover plate is foldable along a length of the proximal wall, relative to the base plate in a clamshell fashion, to enclose the wrapped cable between the cover plate and the base plate. The cover plate includes a locking mechanism that is configured to engage the distal wall, and secure the cover plate onto the base plate.

    Abstract: A server assembly having a housing and a tray mounted in the housing are provided. The tray had a top surface and a front surface, and an open position in which the top surface of the tray is accessible and a closed position in which the top surface of the tray is inaccessible. A first set of chip connections in the top surface can vertically removably receive at least one first storage device. The front surface of the tray can define at least one opening below the top surface configured to horizontally removably receive at least one second storage device. The first set of chip connections electronically couple the at least one first storage device with the server assembly and are inaccessible when the tray is in the closed position, and the openings are accessible regardless of whether the tray is in the open or closed position.

    Abstract: Latch mechanism having a latch slide having a receiving portion and configured to couple a component with a server chassis.     Abstract: A connector clip is disclosed. The connector clip includes a base, a cover, a hinge coupling the cover and the base, and a fastener. The base has a first base side joined to a second base side via a connecting base side. The cover has a first cover side joined to a second cover side via a connecting cover side. The fastener holds the first base side and the first cover side in a fixed position when the connector clip is in a closed configuration in which the connecting base side is parallel to the connecting cover side. An internal cable opening is formed in part by the connecting base side and the connecting cover side when the connector clip is in the closed configuration. The connector clip secures a cable passing through the internal cable opening and connected to a board in its place in the closed configuration.

    Abstract: A front-access chassis for storage drives can be configured to store different drives in different orientations in a single group of drives. For example, drives in a disk group can be installed with two vertical drives followed immediately by four horizontal drives. Each chassis can include multiple disk groups. Thus, drives with certain functions can be easily and readily identified based on orientation. For example, system drives may be installed vertically whereas storage drives may be installed horizontally, permitting a user to quickly identify a desired drive at a glance.

    Abstract: A tray assembly configured for carrying a storage device is provided. The tray assembly includes a carrier, a base frame, a handle and a connecting rod. The carrier carries the storage device. The base frame slidably connects with the carrier, allowing the carrier to slide between a first position and a second position relative to the base frame. The base frame includes a locking part and the handle pivots to the base frame. Two ends of the connecting rod respectively pivot to the carrier and the handle.
