摘要: A panel is provided for attenuating noise. This panel includes a perforated first skin, a second skin, an array of corrugations, a first channel, a second channel, a plurality of first sidewalls and a plurality of second sidewalls. The array of corrugations includes a first corrugation and a second corrugation. Each of the corrugations includes a baffle and a septum. The first channel is formed by the baffle of the first corrugation, the septum of the first corrugation and the first skin. The second channel is formed by the baffle of the second corrugation, the septum of the first corrugation and the second skin. The first sidewalls divide the first channel into a plurality of first chambers. The second sidewalls divide the second channel into a plurality of second chambers. A first of the second chambers is fluidly coupled with a subset of the first chambers through perforations in the septum of the first corrugation.

摘要: Method of manufacturing bond panels and bond panel assemblies are provided. In various embodiments, the method may comprise laying up a top skin on a tool comprising a mandrel. The method may further comprise laying out core on the top skin. The method may further comprise laying up back skin to create an assembly. The assembly may comprise the top skin, the core, and the back skin. The method may further comprise placing the assembly in a bag to provide a bagged assembly. The method may also comprise placing the bagged assembly in an autoclave. The method may further comprise subjecting the bagged assembly to a pressure and a temperature for a determined amount of time. In this regard, the back skin, the core, and the top skin may be co-cured in a single autoclave pressurization and heating operation.

摘要: A process for manufacturing a composite structure includes: providing first mandrels, each first mandrel including a base and a plurality of projections arranged longitudinally along and projecting vertically out from the base; providing second mandrels; providing first ribbon plies, each first ribbon ply including a sheet of fibrous material; arranging each first ribbon ply with a respective first mandrel, the arranging of each first ribbon ply including substantially covering each surface of each of the projections of one of the first mandrels with a respective first ribbon ply; mating each second mandrel with a respective first mandrel such that each first ribbon ply is sandwiched between a respective first mandrel and a respective second mandrel; and curing resin disposed with the first ribbon plies to consolidate the first ribbon plies together and form a fiber-reinforced composite core structure of an acoustic panel.
