摘要: An apparatus for applying a viscous modification material includes a material source of the modification material and a needle connected to the source. A material for selectively modifying the optical properties of cells comprises a basic material and a modification substance distributed in the basic material at a prescribed concentration, wherein the basic material comprises a viscous fluid, a gel, a two-dimensional or three-dimensional porous substrate or a material which hardens in situ. A diagnostic apparatus for determining the optical properties of cells which have been exposed to such a material and an apparatus for irradiating cells whose optical properties have been differently modified with such a material are also provided.

摘要: The invention relates to a diagnostic apparatus with which diseased hard tissue, in particular carious dental tissue, can be examined through a small working channel, to see whether it can be made healthy again by remineralization. This diagnosis apparatus tightly (54) seals the working channel, produced in the tissue, from its environment, and places the cavity in the tissue under pressure, after which the pressurization is ended and a pressure drop is measured by means of a pressure measuring instrument (60). The speed of the drop in pressure is a measure of the extent of the changes to the diseased tissue. The invention also relates to a treatment device for supporting the remineralization or reinfiltration of diseased hard tissue and for preparing this, as well as to diagnosis and treatment agents and treatment substances.

摘要: A storage container (1) for a suspension used for medical purposes, in particular for ultrasonically assisted treatment of periodontitis, dental cleaning or dental preparation, comprises a flexible pouch (2), the interior of which is accessible via a charging and discharging nozzle (5). Situated in the interior of the pouch (2) is a distance element (6), in which a groove system (8, 9, 10) is incorporated. The groove system communicates with the interior of the charging and discharging nozzle (5). When the pouch (2) of said storage container (1) is pressed flat during removal of the suspension it contains, the opposing sides (3, 4) of the pouch (3) are applied during the final phase of emptying against the distance element (6). The groove system (8, 9, 10) contained in the latter however remains clear and forms a path, via which even the last residues of the suspension may be reliably removed from the pouch (2).

摘要: A breathing gas supply controller, comprises a housing which has a gas inlet leading to an internal gas passage which opens at the opposite end in a gas supply opening for supplying gas to a place of use, such as to aid in a person's respiration. The interior gas passage has a widened portion with an elastic valve tube in the passage which defines an annular pressure chamber around the tube which is separated from the passage. A valve member extends through the passage and it includes an intermediate annular widened portion which is engaged against the interior of the valve tube in a closed position to close off the gas passage. A control chamber, which is defined in the housing, has a first control passage communicating with the pressure chamber and a second control passage communicating with the gas passage on the downstream or gas supply end thereof. The one-way flow connection to atmosphere permits the intake of air into the gas passage for mixing with the other gas such as oxygen for flow to the person for respiration. The air flow is aspirated into the passage, preferably by a nozzle formation downstream of the elastic valve tube, or which is formed as a downstream portion of the valve tube. The control chamber includes a diaphragm actuated valve member so that when the pressure in the gas passage drops beyond a predetermined amount, the valve is opened to the first control passage in order to vent the space around the valve tube. The valve member positioned in the valve passage has an annular surface which engages against the interior wall of the valve tube when the pressure is maintained in the annular chamber around the valve tube. When the control valve opens the annular passage around the valve tube, the valve tube flexes outwardly and permits the flow of gas therethrough.
