摘要： Systems and methods are provided for indexing in Advanced Function Presentation (AFP) systems. One embodiment is a system that includes a memory and a controller. The memory may store Advanced Function Presentation (AFP) print data. The controller may load the AFP print data, detect an AFP Object Container Data (OCD) structured field within the print data, and follow a pointer from within the OCD structured field to a global reference. The controller may also acquire Metadata Object Content Architecture (MOCA) header information within the global reference, and process the OCD structured field based on the MOCA header information within the global reference.

摘要： System and methods for prevention of empty media trays in a print system. In one embodiment, a system includes a print controller configured to receive a print job, and to initiate collection of media from a media tray based on information in the print job. The system also includes a supply detection module configured to detect a low supply of the media in the media tray, and to generate an error responsive to detection of the low supply before the media tray is empty. The print controller is configured to stop the collection of the media based on the error signal so that at least one sheet of the media remains in the media tray.

摘要： Systems and methods for preserving logical page order in a print job. One embodiment is a system that includes an interface that receives a print job having documents, and a controller that identifies different groups of logical pages belonging to different documents. The controller inserts an identifier into each logical page of the different groups that distinguishes logical pages of different documents, and directs the print job into a print workflow that comprises an ordered set of activities to perform upon the documents. The controller also obtains layout information that indicates a placement of one or more logical pages on a sheet, retrieves identifiers from each of the one or more logical pages of the sheet, and detects a print error based on a difference in the identifiers retrieved for the sheet.
