摘要: A PAP device is configured to deliver a pressurized flow of respiratory gas to a patient's airways and includes a flow generator with a blower configured to pressurize the flow of respiratory gas. A flexible face seal is positioned at an outlet end of a blower discharge path. A tub configured to hold a body of water and humidify the pressurized flow of respiratory gas includes a heat conducting base plate and a side wall. A base supports both the flow generator and the tub and includes a floor with a heater plate and a spring biased catch configured to secure the tub to the base. The spring biased catch is configured so that applying a downward force on the tub so that the tub presses against the floor of the base secures the tub to the base and allows the tub to be released from the base.

摘要: A method for controlling a humidifier of a CPAP device including a controller, the method including controlling a heating element in the humidifier with command signals from the controller, sensing a temperature of a fluid in the humidifier with a sensor in the humidifier that transmits signals to the controller, establishing an acceptable operating range for the signal transmitted to the controller, determining whether the transmitted signal is within the acceptable operating range, if the signal is within the acceptable operating range treating the signal as being indicative of the temperature of the fluid in the humidifier and using the signal to control the heating element, and if the signal is outside of the acceptable operating range, the controller determines the humidifier to be unavailable.

摘要: A flow generator for a CPAP system configured to deliver a pressurized flow of respiratory gas to a patient's airways includes a housing and a motorized fan positioned within the housing. The motorized fan is configured to pressurize the flow of respiratory gas. In addition, an outlet port is provided in the housing. The outlet port is configured to connect to a humidifier or an air delivery tube and is in communication with an outlet of the motorized fan. The flow generator further includes a water collection receptacle in communication with the outlet port and the motorized fan outlet. The water collection receptacle is configured to collect water entering the flow generator through the outlet port before the water reaches the motorized fan outlet.

摘要: A humidifier includes a humidifier tub with an air inlet and an air outlet. An uppermost end of the air outlet terminates at an exit port positioned in a plane disposed below the air inlet. The air inlet is configured so that air enters the humidifier tub through the air inlet in a lateral direction. The humidifier also includes a base plate provided to a bottom of the humidifier tub. The base plate and humidifier tub define a water chamber adapted to receive a volume of liquid water. The humidifier tub further includes a guidance structure adapted to direct air entering the humidifier tub via the air inlet to swirl downwardly and around within the water chamber and into contact with the liquid water before exiting the exit port.

摘要: A humidifier tub includes a first side having an air inlet opening configured to receive the pressurized flow of respiratory gas. A second side opposes the first side. An air outlet opening is configured to discharge the pressurized flow of respiratory gas with added humidity. An inlet passage extends from the air inlet opening toward the second side so that the pressurized flow of respiratory gas travels through the inlet passage in a first direction. A guidance structure is located between the first and second sides and positioned so that a traveling direction of the pressurized flow of respiratory gas changes from the first direction to a second direction upon the pressurized flow of respiratory gas engaging the guidance structure. The guidance structure extends downward from a lid. In addition, the first direction is a lateral direction and the second direction is a downward direction.
