Abstract:
A programmable data link module is used on a time division multiplex data bus. The module is functional as an input device, an output device, or both as an input and output device. It can receive data from the data bus during the selected time slot for a selected number of frames to control output devices connected to it. The data link module includes an input circuit for generating a data output signal data to the data bus in response to the input signals from an input device coupled to the module. The input circuit includes a programmable input communication mode selector, allowing the data bus and the data link module to function with or without a host computer. The mode selector provides simplex or duplex.
Abstract:
Mixtures of medium viscosity polymeric MDI and HCFC-22 have unexpectedly low vapor pressure, rendering such mixtures suitable for the preparation of polyurethane and polyisocyanate foams.

Abstract:
Polyurethane/polyisocyanurate rigid foams having low thermal conductivity are prepared from isocyanate-terminated quasi-prepolymers prepared from polyester polyols derived from phthalic anhydride or from the transesterification of polyethylene terephthalate scrap.
Abstract:
A problem addressed by this invention was how to obtain very long lengths of refractory metal-coated multifilamentary yarns having a uniform coating on the filaments which make up each yarn, the coating being uniform throughout the length of the yarn such that the coated yarns are suitable for being woven and are suitable for a variety of other uses. The solution is a continuous process which employs a chemical vapor deposition reaction at relatively low temperature and pressure and a separation of the gaseous reaction products from the coated yarn prior to allowing the coated yarn to cool.
Abstract:
The present invention discloses a phase stable polyol blend composition containing a sucrose and dipropylene glycol co-initiated propylene oxide polyether polyol, a polyester polyol, a compatibilizing agent and a hydrocarbon blowing agent. The polyester polyol is preferably a phthalic anhydride-initiated polyester polyol. The compatibilizing agent is a butanol-initiated propylene oxide polyether surfactant.
Abstract:
The present invention discloses a polyol resin composition containing a polyether polyol blend, a polyester polyol, and a hydrocarbon blowing agent. The polyether polyol blend has at least a diamine initiated polyol, a propylene oxide polyol, and a polyethylene terephthalate initiated polyol having a functionality of from 2.3 to 3.0. The polyester polyol is preferably a phthalic anhydride initiated polyester polyol. The blowing agent is a C4-C6 hydrocarbon. Also disclosed is a method of producing a polyurethane foam combining the above mentioned polyol resin and an isocyanate component.
Abstract:
An isocyanate-based rigid foam comprising the reaction product of an organic and/or modified organic polyisocyanate, a resin blend and, optionally, a relatively low molecular weight chain extender or crosslinker in the presence of a catalyst, and, optionally, further auxiliaries and/or additives, wherein the resin blend comprises a phthalic anhydride-initiated polyester polyol, a blowing agent comprising a C4-C6 hydrocarbon, and a fatty acid or fatty alcohol ethoxylate compatibilizing agent. The blowing agent is soluble in the polyol composition, thereby reducing the risks associated with such blowing agents in processes for making rigid polymer foam articles and providing rigid foams having good dimensional stability and improved insulation properties.

The data link module includes an input circuit for generating a data output signal data to the data bus in response to input signals from an input device coupled to the module. The input circuit includes a programmable input voltage level selector, allowing different voltage rated input devices to be used with the data link module. A hysteresis circuit sets a minimum voltage level threshold representative of the input device being in one logic state and a maximum voltage level threshold representative of the input device being in another logic state.
