摘要： The invention seeks to improve the effectiveness of sortation and delivery point processing of military mail on behalf of the U.S. military. A method for distributing military mail includes the steps of compiling military unit and associated delivery code information into a computer searchable military address management system database which associates a military unit zip code with a current geographic location for that unit; obtaining military unit personnel change of address information from a number of sources including a national change of address database maintained by a federal postal service and input from a military unit to which a military mail recipient belongs, which information is compiled into a computer searchable military change of address database, which information includes change of address information more recent than change of address information reflected in a federal national change of address database; and using information from the military address management system database and the military change of address database to redirect incorrectly addressed mail pieces to a military mail recipient's current address.

摘要： The present invention is directed to a shovel attachment that is designed to reduce the stress incurred on an operator's muscles, back, joints, spine, and heart during shoveling. The shovel attachment is designed to attach a second handle to a shovel so that an operator may distribute the weight of a shoveled load between both handles and therefore reduce the stress incurred while shoveling. The attachment includes an auxiliary handle having two ends, a first flexible member wherein a portion of the first flexible member extends from both ends of the auxiliary handle, a length adjusting means attached to the free ends of the first flexible members, and a second flexible member that is attached to each length adjusting means and where each end extends to a different coupling member for coupling each end of the second flexible members to either end of the leading edge of a shovel blade.

摘要： A foot support system includes a base to receive a sole of a foot, a cuff adapted to attach to a first portion of a leg near a knee of the leg, and a strap extending between the base and the cuff. The strap includes an elastic portion, a proximal segment attachable to the cuff, and a distal segment coupled to the base in proximity to a toe edge of the base. A strap holder may be included in certain embodiments of the invention to provide a relatively conforming fit to a wearer of the system, thereby allowing for a wider range of footwear options. An alternate embodiment of the invention may include a plurality of branches extending from the distal segment of the strap and adapted to fit between adjacent toes of a wearer in order to couple the strap to the base.

摘要： A fan coil media cabinet for use with a fan coil unit. The cabinet includes an open-sided inner liner having co-joined top, bottom, back, and front panels. The inner panel is mounted within an outer shell having top, bottom, and back walls that are located adjacent to the top, bottom, and back walls of the outer shell. The outer shell contains a ledge that extends about the inner periphery of the shelf upon which the inner liner is seated. The width of the outer shell walls is greater than that of the inner liner panels so that the walls extend outwardly to one side beyond the inner liner. In assembly, the extended wall sections of the outer shell are mounted in contiguous relation with the return inlet of the fan coil and are fastened thereto to create a rigid structure.

摘要： A table or similar structure is provided having an expandable surface area arrangement where the usable or working surface area is retractable into and out of a housing along a curvilinear path that includes both horizontal and vertical components and wherein weight compensating structure is provided to offset the impact of vertical movement of the surface area. The usable surface is formed from an array of adjacent panels connected by a backing web which allows them to lie flush together when the surface area is retracted for use and to separate as needed to follow the curvilinear path when retracted into the housing for storage. The extent of movement into and out of the housing is variable according to the amount of surface area required in a given instance. When implemented into a dining table, for example, vertical support legs for one end of the table can be attached to the end panel of the surface area which is first withdrawn from the housing. The panel are supported by telescopic guide rails which retract into and out of the housing coincident with the movement of the panels, but to which all of the panels are not fixed at all times. The housing can include an opening to allow debris to be removed from the panels even when retracted into the housing.
