摘要： Blends of siloxane copolymers, notably siloxane polyimides, with polyaryl esters or polyaryl ester carbonates containing linkages derived from resorcinol, show improved flame resistance, as measured by two minute and peak heat release, compared to conventional polycarbonates. In some instances transparent flame retardant blends can also be prepared. The compositions show good melt processability, high impact strength and high elongation, and can be used to make various flame retardant articles including sheets and films.

摘要： Disclosed are resinous compositions with excellent balance of impact, heat, flow and environmental stress crack resistance, comprising (i) at least one aromatic polycarbonate, (ii) at least one low molecular weight hydrocarbon resin derived from petroleum C5–C9 feedstock and (iii) optionally a second thermoplastic resin which is not polycarbonate resin, (iv) optionally a rubber modified graft copolymer, and (v) optionally a polymeric or non-polymeric organic phosphorus species. Also disclosed is a method for the manufacture of the compositions and for the manufacture of articles thereof.

The composition can have a whiteness index of greater than or equal to about 50, and a composition yellowness index of less than 10, as measured on a 3 mm thick color chip under D65 illuminant and 2 degree observer.
