    摘要: To provide an unique call ID number in a system comprised of a plurality of entities through which a connection may be established, each entity through which a connection can be initiated is capable of assigning a unique number to a new connection. For example a first entity receives a first request to initiate a first connection and assigns a first unique number to said first connection. The first unique number comprises the identity of the first entity, a time at which the first request was received, a distinction of the first request from any other request received at the first entity in a time block during which said first request was received, and an indication of a system with which the first entity is associated.

Additionally, the described aspects methods, systems and apparatus provide the network operator with an additional level of dynamic control over the source for network services by providing for a network-side proxying feature that allows the network operator to proxy network service requests sent from the open market wireless devices to a designated third party network service provider based on criteria defined by the network operator.

    摘要: A method of mobile station synchronization to a system time, wherein the time alignment is attained while the mobile station operates in analog mode. The mobile stations transmits a periodic signal, each period of which has a leading edge. The base station detects the leading edge of the periodic signal and compares it to an indication of system time. The base station generates an error message for the mobile station indicating an update to the phase of the periodic signal. When the mobile station and the base station are time aligned, the base station may send a message indicating the absolute time at some future leading edge of the periodic signal thereby eliminating ambiguities of time due to the finite time required to receive the message.
