摘要: A check-in and tethering system for monitoring persons such as released in court-ordered supervised programs and a method for operating such a system is disclosed. The system includes a tethered mobile device that provides a check-in procedure that requires a response from a user of the tethered mobile device in the form of at least one of a device identifier from a monitored tethered device attached to the user, a biometric response, or a performed action by the user. The tethered mobile device determines whether the response is valid and transmits a notification to a monitoring center in response to the determination.

摘要: Systems, methods, and computer program products for securing a device or an asset attached thereto. The positions of a plurality of devices are monitored, and based on the positions, a determination is made as to whether a threshold condition has been violated. If the threshold condition has been violated, a notification signal is transmitted from a monitored device to one or more of the other devices to alert a responder that the monitored device is at risk of being lost. In response to the threshold condition being violated, the monitored device may also record and/or transmit data for display to the responder to help prevent the loss, or facilitate the recovery of the monitored device and/or an asset attached to the monitored device.

The set of safe conditions includes a geographic boundary or a geographic location and corresponding threshold distance. The set of safe conditions can also include a time window during which a safe zone is active. When a tracking device is within a safe zone (e.g., geographically and temporally), the tracking device is determined to be safe, and notifications associated with the tracking device can be minimized. The safe zones may be user-selected, user-defined, or determined based on data analytics. If a set of safe conditions are not satisfied, the tracking system generates and sends a notification to the user of the tracking device indicating that the tracking device may be lost.

The sense device is disposed on a moving object and has a first position module. The first position module generates a first position signal based on the sense device. The positioning device is signally connected with the sense device and has a calculating module, a second position module, a detecting module, and a warning module. The positioning device receives the first position signal. The calculating module sets a border. The second position module generates a second position signal based on the positioning device. The detecting module determines if the sense device is out of the border based on the first position signal and the second position signal. The warning module sends out a warning signal.

摘要: Securing a protected entity from a hazard may be achieved in a method and system by defining a first area (Safety SmartSpace) via a monitoring and control (M/C) device as a geographic zone monitored by monitoring systems. A second area (Safety Perimeter) is defined within the first area. The hazard is selected from a list. Additionally, the protected entity may be physically tagged with a local positioning device operable for providing known geographic coordinates of the protected entity. Proximity of the hazard is detected in the first area via the M/C device using input signals from the monitoring systems. The M/C device calculates a numeric criticality score for the hazard using a characteristic of the hazard and the protected entity. A localized control action executes with respect to the protected entity when the score exceeds a threshold, and includes generating and transmitting an alert signal to activate a warning device.

摘要: Methods and systems for context management of a wireless node network having at least a plurality of nodes and a server are described. The server identifies at least one of the nodes. The server determines what context data relates to an operating environment of the identified node as the identified node moves along a path within the operating environment. Based upon the determined context data (e.g., scan data, historic data, shipment data, and layout data), the server performs a management task related to the identified node (e.g., instructs the node to alter its operation, associate the node with the another node, locates the node, tracks and reports the location of the node) with an adjustment made to account for the determined context data.

摘要: A passive-tracking system is described herein. The system can include a visible-light sensor, a sound transducer, a thermal sensor, a time-of-flight (ToF) sensor, and a processor. The processor can receive visible-light frames from the visible-light sensor, sound frames from the sound transducer, thermal frames from the thermal sensor, and modulated-light frames from the ToF sensor. The processor, based on data of the visible-light and temperature frames, can also determine that an object is a living being and can provide an X and Y position of the object. The processor, based on data of the sound and positioning frames, can determine a Z position of the object. The X, Y, and Z positions may combine to form a three-dimensional (3D) position of the object. The processor can also passively track the object over time by selectively updating the 3D position of the object.
