    摘要： A refrigerant filter/dryer assembly isolates, removes, and replaces a filter/dryer core, and allows the vapor-compression heat pump system to continue to operate while the filter/dryer is being replaced. The refrigerant flow is automatically by-passed and the filter/dryer core is isolated for removal. The filter/dryer easily connects back into the refrigerant flow path. An indicator can be provided for indicating the remaining useful life of the filter/dryer while it is being used in the system.

    摘要： An improved method and apparatus to prevent clogging of condensate drain lines with a biocide delivery system that prevents the growth of bioorganic growth in the liquid trap using time release biocide tablets or liquid biocide. When using solid biocide tablets erosion and dissolution of the tables is reduced. When using liquid biocides, combination of initial release followed by gradual release of residual liquid biocide in the drain water is attainable. Drain line are promoted from clogging while being installed anywhere on the drain line upstream of the liquid trap. The apparatus can also be incorporated with a liquid trap, allowing placement anywhere in the drain line.

    摘要： A self-cleaning air purifier for use with a central air conditioning device includes at least one ion generator made up of at least one ionizer bar and an electrically grounded water reservoir with an exposed surface, where the surface of the water is parallel and proximate to the at least one ionizer bar. Contaminants in the air flow path are charged and driven to the grounded water surface. This grounded water surface (ground plane) is comprised of a container with a submerged grounding plate or is comprised of a grounded electrically conducting container. The grounding plate may also be comprised of metals such as Cu, Zn, Sn, Ni, and Ag, or alloys containing these metals, which will also act as biocides in the water. Materials such as tablets or packets may also be added to the electrically grounded water reservoir so as to provide the biocide materials. The tablets or packets can be comprised of metal biocide salts with chelating agents to retain the dissolved biocide metals in solution.

A unique flywheel alternator/starter configuration that generates electrical power, rotates the engine for starting, provides inertia for smooth engine operation, pressurized air for cooling, and inertia for the alternator. An engine cowling provides rotating component protection, a fan shroud mechanism, cooling air ducts, and a cooling mechanism for handling large quantities of heat produced by rectified power conversion. An electrical hook up that allows the generator to provide transient surge capacity for starting inductive loads, or improved load leveling and fuel efficiency.

    摘要： A lightweight, portable, water purification device can be used to recover potable water from any water source. The manually operated device, requires no external power, is very lightweight, and removes salt and other impurities from source water while also disinfecting it. A symmetrical reverse osmosis (RO) membrane coupled with a pre-filter is used to remove salt and impurities from the raw water. Metal biocides are integratable to disinfect the permeate, improve wet storage and to significantly reduce biofouling within the RO membrane.
