摘要:
A ski and ski-binding combination. The ski has several holes for receiving therein fastening screws for the selective fastening of ski-binding elements arranged in the ski in the binding-installation area. The holes are covered, however, are marked to the outside by markings. The arrangement of holes for the ski-binding elements is adjusted to the length of the ski and chosen such that the ski bindings are suited to receive only a limited number of successive ski-boot sizes.

A front jaw for a safety binding comprising a lower part (3) of a housing, which lower part can be fastened to a ski, and an upper part (2) of a housing having at least one adjustable release spring (4) and two pivotal sole holders (14a, 14b) biassed by this release spring, with the upper part (2) of the housing being pivotal in the position of use of the front jaw about a transverse axis (Q) extending essentially normally with respect to the central longitudinal axis (L) of the front jaw, and the swivelling capability of the upper part of the housing relative to the lower part of the housing being limited by a locking piece (15, 115) having at least one stop surface (32a.sub.1, 32b.sub.1, 32a.sub.2, 32b.sub.2, 32a.sub.3, 32b.sub.3, 32a.sub.4, 32b.sub.4), which locking piece is supported horizontally movably in the lower part (3) or the upper part (2) of the housing, with this locking piece (15, 115), in the position of use of the ski binding, cooperating with a stop (29a, 29b) provided on the upper part or lower part of the housing, so that the swivelling movement of the upper part of the housing relative to the lower part of the housing is limited in this position.

A ski binding in which a heel part can be adjusted in the longitudinal direction relative to a guide fixed to a ski and can be actuated by hand. In order to prevent the connecting web of the opening lever disengaging from the locking plate s well as involuntary unlatching of the heel part due to external influences, the invention provides that the connecting web of the opening lever is designed in a U-shaped manner, and that the connecting web, bent in the direction of the upper side of the ski, forms protecting web which terminates flush with the guide fixed to a ski. A restoring lug assists the function of the spring, which acts on the locking piece, the restoring lug being actuable, by way of an edge of the connecting web, by pulling on the opening lever and being formed by being bent out of the locking plate.

A longitudinal-adjusting device (1) for a ski-binding part (7) consists of a guide rail (2) fastened on a ski (3), on which an adjusting plate (5) is guided movably and lockably, which adjusting plate carries the ski-binding part (7). A locking part (10) is supported movably transversely with respect to the longitudinal direction of the ski in the adjusting plate (5), which locking part has locking teeth (12) on the underside, which teeth engage locking teeth (13) on the upper side of the guide rail (2). The locking part (10) is loaded by a spring (15) and has an operating member (18) with two surfaces (22, 23), which rest on a lateral section (21) of the adjusting plate (5).

A ski binding part, in particular a front jaw, having a guide rail adapted to be fastened to the upper side of a ski and on which is arranged a jaw unit movable in a longitudinal direction of the ski and is secured on a base plate. A housing is provided and a locking mechanism for locking the jaw unit in predetermined sliding positions on the guide rail. The locking mechanism has a locking part which is movably held on the jaw unit and which can be moved by a spring into a form-locking engagement selectively with a complementary locking recess on the guide rail. An operating member is adapted to engage the locking part for effecting a disengagement of the locking part from the complementary locking recess. The operating member is supported on the locking part and is provided with at least two surfaces defining an angle with one another and of which each lies at a different distance from a support point and thus determines the engaged or disengaged position of the locking part. The two surfaces are held pressed on the housing in these positions selectively by the spring.

A ski (1) which consists of a core (2), at least one upper surface layer and one lower surface layer. Recesses (6) are provided in the binding area, in which recesses containers (8) are fixed. Inserts to anchor fastening screws are inserted into the containers. Each insert consists of a layer of an elastomer material and of a layer of a fixed material, for example metal or glassfiber-reinforced plastic. In order to avoid in this ski (1) a drilling through the layer (10) of elastomer material and in order to also be able to stress this layer (10) with respect to tension and compression, the invention provides that this layer (10) is below the layer (9) of solid material and is fixedly connected both to the bottom wall (8a) of the container (8) and also to the layer (9) of solid material. A free space (s) is provided immediately above and between an upper surface (9A) of the layer (9) of solid material and a downwardly facing surface (7 A) on a lid (7) covering each of the containers (8) to enable the application of tension to the layer (10).

The invention relates to a sliding board, especially a ski, comprising a treadsole, an upper surface, a lower rib and a core, and at least one element which comprises especially at least one rail-type guiding element, is connected to the body of the sliding board by means of at least one anchoring element, and is used to arrange and guide at least one binding element on the upper side of the sliding board. In order to avoid subsequently fixing guiding elements to the finished ski, the at least one anchoring element (9, 9′, 9″, 19) is integrated into the core (5, 5″) during the expansion thereof and is held by the hardened foam material.

A safety release ski binding mounted in association with a sole plate construction which is pivotally secured to the upper surface of a ski for movement about a vertical axis. The locking structure for holding the sole plate construction in alignment with the longitudinal axis of the ski also effects a holding of the jaw plate and associated front jaw in a fixed position to effectively hold the ski boot in engagement with the bindings associated with the sole plate construction. The sole plate, while being pivotally secured to the ski, remains with the ski even after a release of the ski boot from engagement therewith. Upon the occurrence of a sufficient force causing the sole plate to be pivoted beyond a predefined limit, the locking structure associated with the jaw plate is released so that the front jaw is freely movable away from the ski boot to permit a release of the ski boot from engagement therewith. Thereafter, the sole plate is returned to a position axially aligned with the longitudinal axis of the ski and the front jaw returned to the position of use.

An arrangement for longitudinal adjustment of two binding jaws of a ski binding has base parts which are guided for longitudinal displacement on guide elements attached to the ski. Strip-shaped or similar connecting elements extend parallel to one another in the direction of the other binding jaw. A fixing device interacts with the connecting elements. Raised portions of the connecting elements can be brought into and out of engagement with raised portions of the fixing device upon actuation of the fixing device by a relative movement parallel to the upper side of the ski.If the arrangement is blocked with ice or snow, functioning is ensured because the raised portions which can be brought into and out of engagement with one another are oriented essentially vertically in relation to the upper side of the ski.

A toe unit for a safety ski binding for disposal on a horizontal surface of a ski includes a base adapted to be mounted on the ski, a bolt having a lower end and an upper end, and a mounting portion for mounting the lower end of the bolt to the base. The mounting portion permits axial movement of the bolt between a first position and a second position, and secures the bolt substantially perpendicular to the horizontal surface of the ski when the bolt is in the first position. The mounting portion also permits pivotal movement of the bolt about a location on the base when the bolt is in the second position. The toe unit also includes a sole contact portion attached to the bolt for retaining a sole of a boot and for moving the bolt axially from the first position to the second position in response to a predetermined force exerted by the boot in a direction away from the base.
