    摘要: In an access control system, a method and system for system management. The RF access control system includes a wireless panel interface module that transmits system component settings to a system management interface and receives configuration information from the interface. The system also includes a system management interface for retrieving component settings from the wireless panel interface module and generating configuration information to adjust the settings. The wireless panel interface module transmits the configuration information to system components. The system further includes a wireless access point module that receives configuration information from the wireless panel interface module via an RF communication link. An access processor adjusts settings of the wireless access point module based on the configuration information. A control processor adjusts settings of the wireless panel interface module based on the configuration information. The system also includes an access point controlled by the wireless access point module.

    摘要: In an access control system, a method and system for power management. A method of power management in a wireless access control system includes monitoring usage of a transceiver in a remote access point in a wireless access control system, de-activating the transceiver when the transceiver is not in use, and re-activating the transceiver upon occurrence of a predefined event. Additionally, the method may include transmitting a warning signal when an energy level of a power supply associated with the transceiver is below a predetermined threshold. The method may further include locking the remote access point when an energy level of a power supply associated with the transceiver is below a predetermined threshold. The remote access point may be locked until the energy level is above the predetermined threshold.

The WAPM preferably provides indications of the version number of the software installed on the WAPM. Additionally, the WAPM may communicate with a WPIM. The WAPM may indicate that it is attempting to establish communication with said WPIM, is engaged in an error test with said WPIM, or has lost communication with said WPIM, for example.

    摘要: A building control system is provided that receives information from devices of different subsystems. A trigger causes a zone controller to store the information in a database. The stored data is used to generate customized reports based on sequences or sets of related events. The information from multiple subsystems is consolidated, analyzed, and patterns of behavior are determined. The trigger also causes execution of control actions throughout the building spanning the multiple subsystems, devices, and areas based on the information. An access control subsystem and a non-access control subsystem of the building control system are linked using a common network such that a change in the state of an access control device can affect the state of a non-access control device and a change in the state of a non-access control device can affect the state of an access control device.

    摘要: A self-testable photoelectric smoke detector incorporates a housing which defines an internal smoke chamber. The housing carries a laser diode and a radiation sensor along with a supplemental source of test radiant energy. When a test is initiated, the operational characteristics of the laser diode are monitored simultaneously with energizing the source of test radiant energy. Signals from a scattered radiant energy sensor are evaluated via control circuitry, along with signals indicative of performance of the laser diode to determine whether or not the laser diode as well as the radiation sensor are functioning properly.
