摘要： The present invention receives simultaneously RF signal of different frequency band and processes the RF signal received, at this time a BPS receiver minimizes aliasing generated by RF signal. The present invention comprises a sampling process unit which samples a signal summing a first RF signal and a second RF signal of different frequency bands with time gap, a quantization process unit which generates a first stream signal and a second stream signal from signals sampled by the sampling process unit according respective time information in the signal summing the first RF signal and the second RF signal and a signal process unit which performs FIR filtering with reference to phase shift for a respect frequency band of the first stream signal and the second stream signal, separates the first RF signal and the second RF signal based on a result of the performance.

摘要： A DTV receiver includes a tuner tuning to a channel to receive a broadcast signal, and a demodulator demodulating the broadcast signal. The receiver further includes a first decoder which decodes main and enhanced data included in the demodulated signal by calculating soft decision values for the enhanced data and hard decision values for the main data. The receiver further includes a second decoder for decoding the main and enhanced data for first forward error correction, and a third decoder for decoding the FEC-decoded enhanced data for second forward error correction.

摘要： A DTV transmitter includes a pre-processor pre-processing enhanced data, a data formatter generating enhanced data packets including the pre-processed data and inserting known data place holders to the data packets, and a multiplexer multiplexing the enhanced data packets with main data packets. It further includes an RS encoder which RS-codes the multiplexed data packets, and a data interleaver which interleaves the RS-coded data packets. The RS encoder adds systematic RS parity data to each main data packet and adds non-systematic RS parity place holders to each enhanced data packet. The RS encoder adds the RS parity place holders such that the RS parity place holders are placed after the enhanced data within each interleaved enhanced data packet.

摘要： A timing recovery for recovering a symbol clock using received data is provided. The timing recovery estimates a timing offset in such a way that dispersion constants of received symbols are minimized. Since the dispersion constants do not totally depend on a specific portion of a received signal spectrum, deterioration of the timing recovery performance by fading of a specific frequency component can be prevented. Particularly, the timing offset can be stably captured in a frequency selective fading channel such as a multi-path channel.
