Abstract: Various embodiments herein disclose a method camping a User Equipment (UE) on a cell, the method comprising: creating a combined Most Recently Used (MRU) list by merging a list 4G MRU frequencies with a Public Land Mobile Network (PLMN) having a 5GC and a list of 5G MRU frequencies, determining whether one of a 4G cell with 5G core (5GC) and a 5G cell is available for camping by performing a MRU scan on the combined MRU list; performing one of: camping on one of the 4G cell with 5G core and the 5G cell in response to determining that one of the 5G cell and the 4G cell with 5G core is available and performing a 4G MRU frequency scan on a list of 4G without 5GC MRU frequencies in response to determining that one of the 4G cell with 5G core and the 5G cell is not available.

Abstract: In an embodiment, a method for selecting a frequency combination for a User Equipment (UE), is disclosed. The method includes determining, by the UE, at least one of a bandwidth or multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) layer information associated with each of a plurality of cells upon detecting the plurality of cells present in a network. The method includes identifying, by the UE, at least one combination of cells amongst the plurality of cells providing a maximum throughput based on the determined bandwidth and the MIMO layer information associated with each of the plurality of cells. The method further includes latching, by the UE, onto the combination of cells with the maximum throughput.

Abstract: Provided is a method performed by a user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system supporting Evolved Universal Mobile Telecommunications System Terrestrial Radio Access Network (E-UTRAN) New Radio (NR)-Dual Connectivity (ENDC). The method includes: receiving system information including information on an NR band list supported in the ENDC; identifying, based on the system information, NR bands supported at LTE frequencies of Long Term Evolution (LTE) bands in a most recently used (MRU) LTE frequency list of the UE; prioritizing the LTE frequencies in the MRU LTE frequency list, based on the supported NR bands and an ENDC capability of the UE; and performing a cell selection based on the prioritized MRU LTE frequency list.

Abstract: A method for handling network functionalities of a wireless network by a base station. The method may include receiving parameters from a plurality of User Equipments (UEs) in the wireless network. The method may include identifying a plurality of UE clusters within the cell of the base station based on the parameters. The method may include detecting a network service requirement of a UE cluster in the plurality of UE clusters. The method may include determining whether the UE cluster in the plurality of UE clusters meets a threshold condition based on the parameters. The method may include activating a network functionality for the UE cluster based on the network service requirement of the UE cluster upon determining that the UE cluster in the plurality of UE clusters meets the threshold condition.
