摘要: A method of operating an electronic device includes determining initiation of a voice call on a first Subscriber Identity Module (SIM), while availing first data services through the first SIM. The initiation of a voice call leads to a fallback from a first Radio Access Technology (RAT). A Default Data Subscription/Service (DDS) is set to the first SIM. Further, the method includes registering with a first network through a second SIM, in response to determining the second SIM is registered with a second network with a second RAT. The method includes availing the first data services from the second SIM that is registered with the first network, while engaging in the voice call on the first SIM.

摘要: Embodiments disclosed herein relate to dynamic methods and systems for reading System Information Block 19 (SIB19) for maintaining Uplink Synchronization (UL Sync) and updated cell information during Non-Terrestrial networks (NTN) connectivity. The methods include a dynamic algorithm to reacquire SIB19 by considering different factors of UE's current status such as Radio Resource Control (RRC) states (idle/inactive/connected), SI periodicity of SIB19, emergency call status and UL Sync validity timer duration. The methods include monitoring of the UE status periodically and dynamically executing the algorithm to decide the time instance and periodicity to re-acquire SIB-19 based on UE current status. The methods include evaluating the UE condition on each SIB periodicity, and determining the next time period and periodicity to read SIB19.

摘要: Provided is a method performed by a user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system supporting Evolved Universal Mobile Telecommunications System Terrestrial Radio Access Network (E-UTRAN) New Radio (NR)-Dual Connectivity (ENDC). The method includes: receiving system information including information on an NR band list supported in the ENDC; identifying, based on the system information, NR bands supported at LTE frequencies of Long Term Evolution (LTE) bands in a most recently used (MRU) LTE frequency list of the UE; prioritizing the LTE frequencies in the MRU LTE frequency list, based on the supported NR bands and an ENDC capability of the UE; and performing a cell selection based on the prioritized MRU LTE frequency list.

摘要: Methods and apparatuses are provided in a wireless communication system. Frequency information associated with a cell selection is stored, and a plurality of frequencies are scanned. Cell information is obtained based on the stored frequency information, and, based on the obtained cell information, a first cell to camp on is identified from among a plurality of cells corresponding to the second plurality of frequencies. In identifying the first cell, a cell supporting an evolved-universal terrestrial radio access (E-UTRA) new radio (NR)-dual connectivity (DC) (EN-DC) is preferred over a cell not supporting the EN-DC. The identified first cell is camped on.

Further, the method includes detecting, by the electronic device, that the temperature of the electronic device meets thermal mitigation criteria. Further, the method includes mitigating, by the electronic device, the temperature of the electronic device by switching the application from the plurality of applications from the first RAT to a second RAT in response to detecting that the temperature of the electronic device meets the thermal mitigation criteria.

摘要: Embodiments herein achieve a method for handling registration and session management in a wireless communication system. The method includes registering, by a User Equipment (UE), with a first core network entity over a 3GPP access network and a non-3GPP access network. Further, the method includes triggering, by the UE, a registration procedure to a second core network over the 3GPP access network when a periodic timer of the UE expires in an OOS state. Further, the method includes receiving, by the UE, a non-access stratum (NAS) message, over the 3GPP access network, with an indication to register for the non-3GPP access network with the second core network entity. Further, the method includes reinitiating the registration procedure to register again for the non-3GPP access with the second core network entity through the non-3GPP access network.

摘要: Disclosed is a method for power management of a User Equipment (UE) in multi-rat dual connectivity state. The method includes determining whether one of a first parameter or a second parameter related with an uplink data is met, when the UE is in the MR-DC state and comparing, when one of the first parameter or the second parameter is met, a value of a connected mode discontinuous reception (CDRX) configuration of a master cell group (MCG) cycle and a value of CDRX configuration cycle for a secondary cell group (SCG) cycle, wherein the UE is in the MR-DC state with the MCG and SCG. The method further includes determining an optimal CDRX configuration cycle among the MCG and the SCG based on a result of the comparison and transmitting the uplink data to a network entity over one of the MCG and SCG based on the optimal CDRX configuration cycle.
