摘要: The disclosure relates to a 5G or 6G communication system for supporting a higher data transmission rate. Embodiments herein disclose methods for performing LTM. The method includes: receiving a LTM configuration in a RRC message indicating whether the UE needs to perform one of: a RLC reestablishment and a PDCP recovery during the LTM to a candidate cell; receiving one of a DL MAC CE or a DL L1 message used for triggering the LTM; performing a MAC operation comprising one of a complete MAC reset and a partial MAC reset; transmitting at least one uplink RRC message, wherein at least one uplink RRC message was transmitted within a specificized time interval before receiving the DL MAC CE or the DL L1 message; and performing at least one of the RLC reestablishment and the PDCP recovery based on the received indication.

摘要: Disclosed herein is a method for configuring one or more measurement gaps in a wireless network. The method includes receiving a configuration message with one or more network parameters from a network device. The one or more network parameters include an LTM candidate cell configuration, a measurement gap configuration MG configuration includes a candidate identifier or NR-ARFCN or RS configuration of LTM measurements associated with MG, a type-1 measurement gap configuration, received CellGroupConfig from a distributed unit (DU). The method includes performing one or more actions upon receiving the configuration message. The one or more actions include creating an LTM candidate configuration, associating the measurement gap to an LTM measurement configuration, and applying the received measurement gap for both LTM and L3 measurements. The method includes sending an RRC reconfiguration complete message to the network device upon the completion of the one or more actions.

摘要: A method performed by a user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system is provided. The method includes receiving, from a base station, at least one measurement gap configuration; triggering a first uplink (UL) medium access control (MAC) control element (CE) for requesting an activation or deactivation of a first measurement gap; identifying an event associated with the first measurement gap; cancelling the triggered first UL MAC CE based on the event; and triggering a second UL MAC CE for requesting an activation or deactivation of a second measurement gap.

摘要: The disclosure relates to a 5th generation (5G) or 6th generation (6G) communication system for supporting a higher data transmission rate. A method for supporting multiple measurement gaps in a wireless network by a radio access network node (RAN node) is provided. The method includes creating a radio resource control (RRC) message comprising one of a RRC Reconfiguration or a RRC Resume with additional Information Elements (IEs) for configuration of the multiple measurement gaps, transmitting the RRC message with the additional IEs in the gap configuration of each of the measurement gap to a user equipment (UE) in the wireless network for configuration of the multiple measurement gaps. Further, the method includes receiving an RRC message comprising of one of an RRC Reconfiguration Complete or an RRC Resume Complete indicating successful application of the received measurement gap configuration from the UE.
