The multilayer video decoding method includes obtaining, from a bitstream, instantaneous decoder refresh (IDR) alignment information specifying whether at least one intra random access point (IRAP) picture for a random access and comprised in a same access unit is limited to being an IDR picture; and reconstructing a multilayer video by decoding encoded data by using the IDR alignment information.
Abstract:

Abstract:
An interlayer video decoding method includes reconstructing color and depth images of a first layer obtained from a bitstream, based on encoding information of the color and depth images of the first layer; determining whether a prediction mode of a current block of a second layer image to be decoded corresponds to a merge mode; adding at least one of an inter-view candidate, a spatial candidate, a disparity candidate, a view synthesis prediction candidate, and a temporal candidate to candidates to a merge candidate list according to a predetermined priority in response to the prediction mode corresponding to the merge mode; selecting at least one candidate from the merge candidate list, based on a merge index obtained from the bitstream, to decode the current block based on the selected at least one candidate. The view synthesis prediction candidate is added to the merge candidate list with a fixed priority.
Abstract:
A method of decoding multi-layer video includes decoding a first layer picture, storing the decoded first layer picture in a decoded picture buffer (DPB), and marking the first layer picture as a short-term reference picture; obtaining interlayer reference picture set (RPS) information regarding a second layer picture having a same first picture order count (POC) as the first layer picture; marking the first layer picture, which is marked as the short-term reference picture, as a long-term reference picture, based on the interlayer RPS information; performing interlayer prediction with respect to the second layer picture with reference to the first layer picture; decoding the second layer picture based on a result of performing the interlayer prediction; and, after the second layer picture is decoded, marking the first layer picture, which is marked as the long-term reference picture, as a short-term reference picture.

The multilayer video decoding method may include: acquiring a network abstraction layer (NAL) unit from a bitstream of an encoded image; acquiring layer information, which is commonly used to decode base layer encoded data and enhancement layer encoded data, from a parameter included in the NAL unit; and reconstructing the multilayer image by decoding the base layer encoded data and the enhancement layer encoded data by using the layer information, wherein the parameter uses two or more bits to represent any one of information about a profile, tier, and level of layers constituting the multilayer, information about a phase alignment mode of a luma sample grid between layers constituting the multilayer, information about a picture type alignment mode between layers constituting the multilayer, and information specifying a layer set to be decoded.
Abstract:
An inter-layer video decoding method according to an embodiment may include: reconstructing a color image and a depth image of a first layer based on encoding information about the color image and the depth image of the first layer obtained from a bitstream; when it is determined that a prediction mode of a current block of a second layer image to be decoded is a view synthesized prediction mode wherein prediction is performed based on an image synthesized from the first layer image, determining whether to perform luminance compensation on the second layer current block to be reconstructed; and reconstructing the current block by determining whether to apply a view synthesized prediction mode to the current block, according to a result of the determining of whether to perform the luminance compensation.
