    Abstract: A conductive member is disposed on a side of the sealing plate adjacent to an electrode assembly with a first insulating member disposed therebetween. The conductive member has a conductive-member opening portion. The conductive-member opening portion of the conductive member is sealed by a deformation plate. The deformation plate is connected to a first positive-electrode current collector, which is electrically connected to positive electrode plates. A second insulating member is disposed between the deformation plate and the first positive-electrode current collector. Fixing projections and displacement prevention projections are provided on a surface of the second insulating member. The second insulating member is fixed to the first positive-electrode current collector such that the fixing projections are disposed in fixing holes in the first positive-electrode current collector. The displacement prevention projections on the second insulating member are disposed in displacement prevention holes in the first positive-electrode current collector.

    Abstract: A secondary battery including external terminals provided on an outer side of a sealing plate of a battery case, lead terminals provided on an inner side of the sealing plate, the lead terminals connected to the external terminals being fixed to the sealing plate, collector members disposed on the inner side of the sealing plate, the collector members being connected to the lead terminals, and pluralities of collector tabs connected to a positive electrode plate and a negative electrode plate at an end portion of an electrode body. The pluralities of collector tabs are connected to the collector members, and the electrode body is accommodated inside the battery case while having the pluralities of collector tabs be in a bent state in an inner space defined by the sealing plate.

    Abstract: Provided is an electricity storage device having a high volumetric energy density and high reliability. The electricity storage device includes: an electrode assembly including first and second electrode plates and a separator interposed therebetween; an exterior housing that houses the electrode assembly; a lid that covers an opening of the exterior housing; and electrode terminals that are electrically connected to the electrode assembly and partially protrude from the lid to the outside. The lid has a liquid injection hole for injecting an electrolytic solution into the exterior housing. A tubular member extending from the lid toward the electrode assembly is provided between the outer surface of the lid and the electrode assembly so as to surround an opening of the liquid injection hole. A covering member connected to the tubular member and interposed between the liquid injection hole and the electrode assembly is provided.

    Abstract: To provide a highly reliable rectangular secondary battery. A rectangular secondary battery (20) includes: an electrode body (3) that includes a positive electrode plate and a negative electrode plate; a rectangular casing (1) that includes an opening and that contains the electrode body (3); and a sealing plate (2) that seals the opening of the rectangular casing (1). The sealing plate (2) includes a gas discharge valve (17) that ruptures when the pressure inside the rectangular casing (1) has a predetermined value or more to discharge gas inside the rectangular casing (1) to outside the rectangular casing (1). A portion of a second negative electrode current collector (8b) is disposed, as a shielding member, at a location that is between the sealing plate (2) and the electrode body (3) and that faces the gas discharge valve (17).

    Abstract: A conductive member (61) is disposed near a side of the sealing plate (2) facing the inside of a battery with a first insulating member (10) disposed therebetween. The conductive member (61) has a conductive-member opening portion (61f) at a side facing the electrode assembly.     Abstract: A rectangular secondary battery includes a rectangular casing that contains an electrode body, a sealing plate that seals an opening of the rectangular casing, a first positive electrode tab group that is composed of a plurality of positive electrode tabs, a positive electrode terminal that is attached to the sealing plate, a second positive electrode current collector that constitutes a positive electrode current collector member that is electrically connected to the first positive electrode tab group and the positive electrode terminal, and a second insulator. The second insulator includes a base portion that is disposed between the sealing plate and the second positive electrode current collector. The first positive electrode tab group is bent and connected to the second positive electrode current collector, the region being disposed along the sealing plate. A first wall portion is disposed between the first positive electrode tab group and the rectangular casing.
