Abstract: Disclosed is an exhaust filter system for a battery pack, including an explosion-proof valve and a filter apparatus. One end of the explosion-proof valve is connected to a battery pack- and the other end is connected to the filter apparatus. The filter apparatus includes an introduction port, a discharge port, a housing, and a filter mechanism. The introduction port and the discharge port are separately disposed at two ends of the housing. The filter mechanism is disposed inside the housing and is provided with a plurality of filter holes. The present invention has the following beneficial effects: by optimal design of a novel explosion-proof valve and a novel filter apparatus, expanding the applicability of technical solutions of this application, solving the problem of fire induced by thermal runaway, exhausting combustion gas more smoothly, and achieving better effects of filtering and post handling for thermal runaway in a battery pack.

Abstract: An electrochemical cell is provided, which includes a cathode comprising a three dimensional (3D) porous cathode structure, an anode, an electrolyte separator, comprised of a ceramic material, located between the cathode and the anode, and a cathode current collector, wherein the cathode is located between the cathode current collector and the electrolyte separator. The 3D porous cathode structure includes ionically conducting electrolyte strands extending through the cathode from the cathode current collector to the electrolyte separator, pores extending through the cathode from the cathode current collector to the electrolyte separator, and an electronically conducting network extending on sidewall surfaces of the pores from the cathode current collector to the electrolyte separator.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates generally to a battery module having a housing and a stack of battery cells disposed in the housing. Each battery cell has a battery cell terminal and a battery cell vent on an end of each battery cell, and the battery cell vent is configured to exhaust effluent into the housing. The battery module has a vent shield plate disposed in the housing and directly along an immediate vent path of the effluent, a first surface of the vent shield plate configured to direct the effluent to an opening between the shield plate and the housing, and a second surface of the vent shield plate opposite the first surface. The battery module also has a venting chamber coupled to the opening and at least partially defined by the second surface and a vent configured to direct the effluent out of the battery module.

Abstract: The present disclosure refers to a ventilation device for a battery, particularly to a multifunctional breathing and venting device for a casing of one of a battery submodule, battery module or battery system, such as for an electric vehicle and an energy storage system (ESS). The ventilation device comprising a housing configured for being attached to a vent opening of a battery casing in a sealing manner and comprising at least one lateral wall, a breathable filter separating an interior of the battery casing from a breathing chamber within the housing, a venting membrane separating the breathing chamber from an exterior environment in a gas tight manner, and a breathing sprout fluidly connecting the breathing chamber and the environment and bypassing the venting membrane. The disclosure further relates to a battery comprising such a ventilation device attached to its casing.

Abstract: Provided are a gas processing system, a control method thereof, and an electrical device. The gas processing system includes: a gas storage container, a controller, and a switch component. The gas storage container has a first gas flow branch configured for communicating with a battery box and supplies a dry gas to the battery box. The controller can acquire a state parameter of a gas in the battery box. The switch component is arranged on the first gas flow branch and can switched between a first state, in which the first gas flow branch is turned on, and a second state, in which the first gas flow branch is blocked. The controller is in communication connection with the switch component, and can control the switch component to be switched from the second state to the first state when the state parameter of the gas acquired satisfies a preset condition.
