摘要: A method for cementing a wellbore having a lost circulation zone includes installing a cement basket around a casing string having a casing diameter, and running and setting the casing string in the wellbore. The cement basket is set in proximity of and up hole from the lost circulation zone. The method includes pumping a cement slurry, through the casing string, to a first depth downhole from the cement basket, running a first tubing, having a tubing diameter, into an annulus between the casing string and the wellbore, and pumping the cement slurry, through the first tubing, to a second depth up hole from the cement basket. The tubing diameter is less than the casing diameter.

摘要: A convertible fishing tool is provided for removing an object (fish) from a wellbore. The fishing tool includes an elongated hollow main housing and a plurality of slip blades that are disposed distal to the main housing and move radially between fully retracted positions and fully extended positions. In the fully retracted positions, the fishing tool is in spear configuration and in the fully extended positions, the fishing tool is in an overshot configuration. The fishing tool also includes an actuation system configured to move the plurality of slip blades in a radial direction between the fully retracted positions and the fully extended positions.

摘要: An apparatus includes a tool body having a bore that is aligned with a lengthwise axis and a rotating assembly coupled to the tool body. The rotating assembly includes a turbine wheel that is disposed adjacent to an inner surface of the wall and exposed to the bore. The rotating assembly includes an impeller that is disposed adjacent to an outer surface of the wall in a position corresponding to the turbine wheel. Each of the turbine wheel and impeller has a respective axis of rotation that is transverse to the lengthwise axis. The rotating assembly includes a link rod that couples the turbine wheel to the impeller and is used to transfer mechanical energy generated by the turbine wheel to the impeller. The apparatus is operable by fluid flow through a drill string to increase pressure in a wellbore annulus and enhance transportation of formation cuttings up the annulus.

A wellbore is drilled with the bottom hole assembly, and at least a portion of a casing is printed with the 3D printing sub-assembly while drilling the wellbore. A related system includes a drill string having a length of drill pipe and a bottom hole assembly disposed at a distal end of the length of drill pipe. A 3D printing sub-assembly is mounted on the bottom hole assembly, wherein the printing sub-assembly includes a printer housing and a 3D printing head mounted at the printer housing. A control guides the 3D printing head to print at least a portion of a casing at a location radially away from the central longitudinal axis of the drill string.

摘要: A reversible polycrystalline diamond compact (PDC) bit. The reversible PDC bit includes at least one blade, at least one front cutter disposed on a first side of the at least one blade, and at least one rear cutter disposed on a second side of the at least one blade, wherein the first side is opposite to the second side along a circumferential direction of the reversible PDC bit, wherein rotating the reversible PDC bit in a clockwise direction engages the at least one front cutter to cut into a subterranean formation, and wherein rotating the reversible PDC bit in a counter-clockwise direction engages the at least one rear cutter to cut into the subterranean formation.

The translatable blade is configured to be translated and maintained in a translated position. The body includes a cavity cooperatively positioned angularly away from the static blade. The translatable blade translates into the cavity. The translatable blade has a substantially retracted rest position and a substantially extended rest position. The cavity includes a restricting device within said cavity, so that said restricting device engages said translatable blade member in the substantially retracted position or the substantially extended position.
