摘要: Examples of methods and systems are disclosed. The systems may include an overshot including a tubular housing comprising a bore and configured to transfer a fluid flow through the bore. The overshot may also include a rotatable housing extending in a direction of a central axis of the tubular housing. The rotatable housing may be configured to receive the fluid flow and be driven by the fluid flow to have rotational motion about the central axis. The rotatable housing may be also configured to receive a fish and rotate and displace the fish towards the tubular housing. The overshot may further include a gripping mechanism disposed within the bore and configured to receive and engage with the rotated fish. The overshot may still further include a bearing disposed between the tubular housing and the rotatable housing and configured to decouple rotational motion of the rotatable housing and the tubular housing.

摘要: A bottom hole assembly (BHA) incorporates a tubular cutter driven by a downhole motor. A scraper moves into a smaller tubular to clean an area where a spear will later be engaged to the cut tubular portion. The scraper has a relatively movable mandrel that allows straight through flow into the motor or closes flow to build pressure to a telescoping jack to exert a pull force on the cut tubular after the cut is made. The spear is articulated with mandrel manipulation to grab the cut segment and weight is set down to shift the mandrel in the scraper to allow pressure buildup with rig pumps turned on to retract the jack as the BHA is held with anchors in the larger tubular. The cut segment is pulled uphole to loosen it so it can be removed from the borehole.

摘要: An example method includes introducing a string of tubing into a wellbore to perform a primary operation, the string of tubing including at least one sensor for measuring strain and at least one device operatively associated with the at least one sensor. The method further includes translating the string of tubing relative to the wellbore, imparting a load on the string of tubing when the tubing becomes stuck in the wellbore at a stuck point, and thereby generating strain in the string of tubing above the stuck point. Additionally, the method includes measuring the strain with the at least one sensor, transmitting data indicative of the strain to a surface location with the at least one device, and determining a position of the at least one sensor in the wellbore, as based on the strain, relative to the stuck point.

摘要: A packoff device is disclosed for sealing an annulus within a wellbore, and for bypassing the sealed annulus. The packoff device may include a mandrel having a bore formed axially therethrough and first and second ports extending radially from the bore. A sealing element that extends radially-outwardly from the mandrel may be positioned axially between the first and second ports, and may create a seal within an annulus between the mandrel and a casing, to isolate a portion of the annulus above the sealing element from a portion below the sealing element. A sleeve within the bore may, with the mandrel, form a channel providing fluid communication between the first and second ports. The sleeve may be movable between open and closed states. The first and second ports may be unobstructed by the sleeve in the open state, one or more may be obstructed in the closed state.

摘要: This invention relates to a method and apparatus for retrieving a tubing from a well at least partly filled with a liquid. The tubing has first and second end portions. Method steps include: (a) running a retrieval apparatus using connecting means from a surface into the well, retrieval apparatus including: means for engaging tubing; means for sealing a portion of the bore of tubing; means for injecting a low density fluid into tubing, (b) connecting engagement means to a portion of tubing; (c) activating sealing means to close liquid communication in the bore of tubing between first and second end portions; (d) replacing at least a portion of a volume of liquid defined by sealing means, tubing and second end portion (B-B′) of the tubing by a low density fluid introduced in volume by injection means; and (e) retrieving tubing out of the well using connecting means.

The second downhole equipment provided with a sealing means for closing the second end portion of tubing, such as a mechanical plug having a check valve, and a cutting tool for cutting tubing underneath sealing means.
